  1. Can't have three lefties in the rotation, dude. Maybe they'll try to fix Hill by making him throw with his right hand and it will turn out that he's even better as a righty. Played with a guy in HS who could throw 90+ either hand for strikes. He'd get tired, switch gloves. True story. I could throw 90 in HS. 60 right handed 30 left. Isn't there a pitcher in the minors right now that does that? Or is that an independent league? I think there is but I can't think of his name. It's pretty cool to see. Actually, doesn't Zambrano on occasion throw left handed during warmups in the OF? Didn't he touch the high 80's/low 90's?
  2. Chet Stedmond something something blah blah home run off Lieber

  4. I had to drop him from my fantasy team because of the lack of production. Good hitter, not as productive as I expected though. Say, he'd probably be fantastic out of the 2 spot!!!! In his defense, he hasnt gotten any at bats against Jon Lieber. =D>

  6. Hamilton Porter from The Sandlot just hit a solo jack
  7. You missed Adam Dunn, Joey Votto, Paul Bako, and Jerry Hairston hitting home runs in the 2nd inning No I heard those on XM, I didn't know that everyone who has ever played for the Reds went yard as well though. You must be listening to a different game, lol The only real surprises there are Dunn and Votto right? You gotta expect it from the other guys. Oh and someone being on in front of someone else who goes yard? That was weird, too. Hahaha, well played
  8. He replaced Theriot, Cedeno moved to SS. Why was Theriot replaced? Double switch strategy. That and Cedeno is better than Theriot
  9. You missed Adam Dunn, Joey Votto, Paul Bako, and Jerry Hairston hitting home runs in the 2nd inning No I heard those on XM, I didn't know that everyone who has ever played for the Reds went yard as well though. oh, and Norm Charlton just went to souvenir city

  12. Chris Henry hits a solo home run while wearing hand and ankle cuffs, beats ump with baseball bat while crossing home plate
  13. Well, at least we get to see some home runs today
  14. Sorry, I made that confusing. I tracked runs and hits that occured from when the bases were loaded, to the end of the inning. So if the Cubs loaded the bases with 0 outs, someone doubled 3 runs home, and the next player homered, that would be 5 runs on 2 hits. Ahhh, gotcha
  15. I don't doubt the Cubs will be able to turn it around, I'm sure they will, and these numbers are definitely inspiring, I just can't stand losing, lol. We came back from a larger deficit with fewer games to play last year, so I'm not too concerned about the slide right now, especially since the competition is going through bigger problems than us right now and are playing over their heads in some instances, but this could just be a string of rotten luck that's pissing us all off since we know the Cubs are better than this. At least that's how I feel. I just wish they'd stop pissing us off, lol
  16. I'm confused. How does one score 5 runs with the bases loaded. I'm assuming it's where we score 4 runs all the while the bases remained loaded and we scored a 5th? But wouldn't that be a separate occurance of the bases loaded with however many outs? I'm-a lost. Aside from that the numbers are both impressive that we've scored that much on so few hits and depressing that we've only had that many hits and left the bases loaded so many times
  17. Theriot is playing well right now. Doesn't mean he should lead off. And besides that, Cedeno's ceiling is huge compared to Theriot's, and Cedeno is starting to show that he's putting it all together. We won't find out if he's a fluke if we don't play him, and hate to break it to you, if Cedeno isn't a fluke, Theriot should not be starting at SS if that's the case
  18. I wish they wouldn't harp on the damn 1st pitch stat. We get it, you don't like it, why keep talking about it? But then again it makes me think that they wouldn't be talking about it if Dusty wasn't the manager. Why else would it be an issue, eh?
  19. HAHAHAHA That's remarkable
  20. Soto's an offensive force at a position where there isn't much offense. If you're going to trade Soto, trade him for someone who is doing good right now, and you know will continue to be good. Soto's value >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Justin Verlander's value right now, and in the long run, will likely be worth more at the end of the season too. You'd be giving up way too much. Verlander is good, but he sure sucks right now. You should be able to trade Russell Martin for him instead of Soto, that's how bad Verlander is right now. Soto is the #1 catcher in Fantasy Baseball right now and it's not even really close, and you'd be giving him up for a pitcher who had ace stuff the last few years but is struggling big time right now and hasn't shown signs of coming out of the funk. Don't do it
  21. Wow. Just... wow. Really? Really, Ozzie Guillen? Wow.
  22. The Butte Copper Kings, huh?
