    When the Cubs won the World Series, I felt a tremendous weight come off my shoulders, it was almost euphoric jubilation. But when this happened I broke down and cried because this was something I had never thought possible. It was almost as if once they got to the World Series I expected them to win with the utmost confidence, but the years of torment of getting close and failing made this particular moment so much more emotionally impactful to me, personally. Hell, I got teary eyed just watching this again. I know it's #26, and winning the World Series was the pinnacle of Cubs fandom, but this for me is easily my #2.

    Seriously, when the Dodgers got Friedman I was like "Oh horsefeathers, this could be a problem for the Cubs" and he's really not doing anything that makes me afraid the Cubs can't defeat them in any capacity unless Kershaw is on the mound, and that's nothing Friedman can take credit for. He's made some decent moves, but nothing like Samardzija + Hammel for Russell.

    Jesus, how many people were watching that feed in America? I dunno, but his call was replayed a lot....."Santa Maria!" Eh, I never saw it, and MLB.com's highlights were all from Fox. And most of the season recap videos I watched skipped all the bad parts of the World Series, and even if they didn't, it was the Buck call. I had to find a YouTube rip to hear Vasgersians call. Besides, I don't actively go seeking out one of the worst baseball moments of my life after I experienced it live just to hear what it sounded like out of someone else's mouth. That was enough for me, thank you very much.

    Yes he was. He was the "MLB International" broadcaster. Jesus, how many people were watching that feed in America?

    MLB network Yeah, no. The World Series was broadcast on Fox and Fox alone in America. The only way you got Vasgersian was in Canada or an MLB International feed.

    It seems pretty obvious that these bigotted meatheads only read the title of the article when they commented. What he said is maybe the most benign criticism of the travel ban from a public figure I've seen since it was announced. Dexter's reactions also just make me like him even more. I wish his talents were irreplaceable so we would've been forced to keep him.

    My expectation of Kyle Schwarber hitting 40 dongs this year has changed. I now expect 75 dongs, and a furious Barry Bonds grabbing his hat and throwing it on the ground in comical anger like he just lost track of the Duke boys.

    Same. I wanted Pujols badly. Hindsight being what it is, I really wish the Cards ponied up the dough for him now. Not getting Pujols or Fielder signaled that the Cubs opted to go into rebuild mode instead of tread water mode. When they got Rizzo I was like "Okay, this rebuild is probably gonna be pretty awesome"

    How am I supposed to sell 90% of my tickets if the people I scalp them to can't print them off a computer?

    To be honest I'm surprised it was this low. Obviously people see him as a DH and not a 1B and with his age people didn't want to pay for past performance, but he's still been, on average, a 4 win player for the last 5 years. He's easily one of the Top 20-25 best bats in all of baseball. I would've thought 4/100 would've been easy for him to get. If anything, it means Bautista is gonna get far less than what he's demanding, too. I think Bautista wanted the same, if not more than Encarnacion didn't he?
