  1. Thank Gawwwwd we're finally back on topic!
  2. The only time the Bulls lost to the Clippers in the entire 90's was in December 94, without Jordan, what are you talking about? Just leave RedFlash alone and let him talk about Anthony Morrow replacing Derrick Rose in the rookie-soph game.
  3. Rose got to the line twice. Eric Gordon got there 10 times.
  4. And this is why the Bulls would be stupid to factor this year into any trades or potential moves.
  5. the part i don't like is when news stories from the AP or CNN or whoever use reactions from twitter. then you have idiotic things like "OMG, can't believe U R gone!!!" in a news story about a death of a celebrity. otherwise i don't have a problem with it. I can agree with that. But I think the benefits of it far outweigh the annoying things.
  6. At least you know when to quit, I suppose.
  7. No, the point is that you said the appeal of NYC is overrated, but you've never been there. That's a dumb thing to say.
  8. Holy crap. You just said you've never been there. How can you possible have an opinion about this?
  9. Have you ever been to NYC?
  10. I hear LeBron sleeps on a modified Ibestad, so that could be enough to get him to stick around.
  11. I think almost anyone would rather "control" New York City than control the state of Ohio.
  12. Why? Saying you hate Twitter makes you sound like Bill Plaschke or something. Only twits use Twitter. Sounds like something Bill Plaschke would write. I don't get all these new age stats with the VORP and the WAR and the VOIXCYEIVH and the WeEniE! Who has time to understand that? I liked back when things were simpler, with just batting average and RBIs. I also don't get Twitter and their tweets and their twits and their twoodles! Who has time to understand that? I liked back when things were simpler, with just Facebook and Blogspot. or maybe it's just because twitter is stupid Good reasoning.
  13. What team has been optimizing its roster around LeBron for the last five years? Because it's not the Cavs. Okay, 7 years. No team trying to "optimize" around LeBron would bring in a 470 pound Shaq.

  16. If you want to see a smart, accurate QB without arm strength, look at Chad Pennington. That's about the upside of an NFL QB with a weak arm.

  18. That will help some, but it's not everything. He's averaging under 4 FT attempts per game. If Corey Maggette can get to the line 9 times per game, there's no reason Rose can't do the same.
  19. And in most cases, you need two big-ticket guys (or at least a 1b big-ticket guy). We only need 1 more then. To me Rose is big ticket right now. Imagine what he would be with Bosh. I agree that Rose can be considered a big-ticket kind of player. If he ever learns how to get to the line consistently, I think he can average a pretty efficient 25 points per game. Still need that other big player though.
  20. I'll also be interested in how they spin the hiring, if they do go with him. They knew he was interested weeks ago and just now got around to interviewing him? I don't see how they could stand up there with a straight face at the press conference and tell everyone that they got the right guy and are really excited to have him on board. They will, but most people should be able to see through the bs.

  22. I'm sure they'll "go after" one of them. The question is if they'll actually have the cap space to land one. Without moving Salmons, Deng or Hinrich, it isn't happening. It's nice when the Bulls win, but I'm afraid this recent stretch of good play will make them short sighted and they'll hang onto everyone at the deadline. They need to think about the long term health of the franchise and not become too enamored with the idea of maybe winning a first round series this year.
  23. I'm surprised Reggie wasn't the one to go down in that collision.
  24. They don't have their guns loaded. Mainstream media people do not understand the rules of the NBA's salary cap, so no one should listen to what they say. Unless the Bulls make some miraculous and creative trades, they aren't remotely close to having room for two max free agents. If Salmons opts in for 2010, they may not even have room under the cap for one max guy. i thought wrigley22 laid out what would have to happen fairly well. they'll have enough space for one even with kirk and salmons. With no trades and a Salmons opt-in, a max free agent would put the Bulls at around $57 million in salaries. The cap isn't set yet, but it's estimated that it would be around $54-55 million.
