  1. You don't say? [expletive] off Seems unnecessary.
  2. I feel like this post is missing a word somewhere. Now we can fill in the missing verb. mosi tatutpu, father of lofa, and member of football's version of the washington generals, the 1985 patriots, was signed by the Cubs today to bring a second strong clubhouse presence alongside Kevin Millar.
  3. You don't say?
  4. Tyrus also never got consistent minutes like Taj is getting. The Bulls drafted Tyrus as a project and then expected him to play like a 10 year vet. lollll You got me with that one.
  5. I think Westbrook could be more useful in a Martz system than any sort of "hammer". And Forte plus a hammer would really be undynamic as a RB group. Perhaps he was saying he would rather have an actual hammer as a 2nd RB than Westbrook?

  7. Uh, no he's not. For a 26th pick. I mean. That's a pretty important clarification that you left out. Sure, he's awesome for a 26th pick because most of those guys aren't even capable of becoming basic rotation players. But he's nowhere near, and never will be near, awesome. And for all the talk about how great he's been playing lately, he's basically been averaging 8 points and 8 boards over the last month. He's serviceable for 20-25 minutes a game, but should never be the starting PF on a good team. I think he's growing into the Bulls' version of Ryan Theriot. Lots of fans inexplicably love the guy.
  8. Uh, no he's not.
  9. Blair's per-minute stats blow Taj's out of the water. Per 36 minutes: Blair: 15.3 points, 12.6 boards, 55% shooting Taj: 12 points, 9.8 boards, 48% shooting Taj is a little bit better shotblocker and turns it over a bit less. I'd still rather have Blair. Taj isn't that good, and he's three years old than Blair is.
  10. I guess. But now that the trade deadline is over, there's nothing to talk about until the summer. This season doesn't actually matter.
  11. No. I really wanted to get some more info on this stateside monarchy.
  12. A GM who wants a third guard with declining skills with $18 million left on his contract.
  13. Plus, tight ends are more of a luxury than anything else. No good offense should be totally based around a tight end.
  14. You don't want to see what a healthy Pierce without lethal wounds in his face could do to the Bulls in the playoffs. Probably hit a bunch of jumpers over John Salmons as the Celtics win in five.
  15. So THAT is why the Cubs haven't won a World Series in over 100 years. I never knew. Replace Crane Kenney & Co. with Beckert immediately. He knows what we need to win it all. The guy is 70 years old and just wanted to talk about fishing. I don't think he was seriously advocating that the Cubs should move to Florida because it will make them a better team. Great thread though.
  16. Also, Taj Gibson is older than Dwight Howard.
  17. Don't be ridiculous. The Bulls are already mediocre as a team and were missing their two best players, going against the second-best team in the East. They didn't have a shot at making it close. Hinrich/Salmons/Deng/Gibson/Miller as an everyday lineup would be worse than the Nets.
  18. tonight?
  19. Dude, cheer up. Rose will miss the rest of the year with the injury, Bulls will go 5-27 the rest of the way and get into the lottery. They'll trade Hinrich and Deng for expirings. The ping pong balls will bounce their way, they'll draft John Wall, sign LeBron and Bosh and then roll next season with a lineup of: Rose Wall LeBron Bosh Noah 78-4.
  20. Cap holds are like $485,000, so they'd have room to fill out the roster under the cap.
  21. Also, regarding Tyrus, a guy at Yahoo sports had a pretty good take on it, I thought. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Tyrus-Thomas-can-be-yours;_ylt=AjcdACj7rRQaI7Jh7GHzUJq8vLYF?urn=nba,218576
  22. Did he have any reasoning behind that? Because that's clearly insane.
  23. I don't think Angelo will trade away a talented young player just because of a potential stop-gap offensive coordinator.
