  1. you just can't do the same thing... it's been proven that it's not good enough
  2. The idea that Assad was cruising is just wrong. He was struggling with his fastball command in the 8th, missing way inside to righthanders on more than a few. Yes, he got out of it thanks to a great play from Morel and a good pitch to follow, but he was showing signs of struggling and it was his 3rd time through the order, regardless of pitches thrown. Ross is probably fine in the grand scheme of things, but needs a better roster so that he doesn't feel the need to ride his bullpen for extra outs all the time. And for the love of all that is holy, get rid of the dead weight like Hosmer so he can't use them
  3. Why not pinch hit there?
  4. great play from Morel to make that turn
  5. This is the same team that insists Molina is basically the best modern catcher ever despite his career OPS+ of 96 in 19 years Comparison: Ted Simmons 118/21 years Pudge Rodriguez 106/21 years Piazza 143/16 years (obviously not a strong defender) Joe Torre 129/18 years (not primarily a catcher at the end) Gary Carter 115/19 years Carlton Fisk 117/24 years Johnny Bench 126/17 years Yogi Berra 125/19 years They've practically deified Molina, basically entirely because "defense, leader, clutch rah rah" crap. Of course they believe Contreras is unfit to catch. It was always going to be a losing situation for Willson, and with his comments about "always wanting to play for the Cardinals" and whatever, I don't particularly mind the schadenfreude
  6. If I was a betting man, I'd take the over on Alcantara strikeouts today... also, can Mervis just get one day where he gets 2-3 plate appearances against a RH bum?
  7. everybody else brings in guy after guy who throws 98, we bring in Brad Boxberger
  8. Lineup... cannot for the life of me understand sticking Wisdom between Hosmer and Barnhart in the 8 slot
  9. and if all 5 of those guys are somehow legit big leaguers, you've got some good trade chips
  10. Now having an issue browsing in Chrome on mobile, Verizon is throwing up a "This site could be dangerous" warning and giving options to open anyway or don't open, but will not open when I select open anyway.
  11. Drop: Jose Abreu $50 Add: Julio Rodriguez $100 Move: Vlad Jr from DH to 1B (if I can do this) if not, add Matt Olson $100
  12. On the plus side, the loading issues I was previously experiencing while browsing on chrome for mobile seem to be gone
  13. good grief Hosmer... what exactly do you do here?
  14. really good AB from Wisdom... hoping Madrigal will put something in the grass edit: nvm, let's see Rios pop one
  15. That HR from Nelly looked like a vintage Soler dong.
  16. is that a typo on Hull's K's? or is he striking out 2+ per inning?
  17. hoping we will move up tomorrow night into an earlier rd 2 pick
  18. keep adding picks
