  1. Candelario helped win games in the middle of a playoff push, which Herz would not have done for the Cubs this year. The trade is already worth it. Maybe Herz and Made turn out to be stars, but more likely they turn out not to be.
  2. yeah, there's nothing remotely reasonable about wanting the Bears to tank over being good enough to make the playoffs
  3. Because Ross wanted to bunt our slowest runner to 2nd with our hottest hitter and then turned to Wisdom to weaken our defense
  4. Smyly is doing his best Gronk impression with his curveball
  5. I know it's a deeply flawed roster with some injuries that have made it worse, but it really seems like Ross is just doing too much with the lineup/defense
  6. he's crapping his pants... getting too cute... Like Wisdom against Hand though
  7. his defense has been good, but he's really struggling at the plate and trying to do too much on the bases
  8. That's the real dream... Then you get a king's ransom for 1, maybe get the Houston and Arizona picks from AZ? Maybe that results in picking at 5, 10, and 14.. maybe they pick up Harrison Jr, Joe Alt, and either Dallas Turner from Alabama or Johnny Newton from Illinois and combined with FAs we look like a playoff contender to start the year... Then we wake up and realize the team has already quit on Eberflus, Fields can't read the field and make the throws, and we have to hope we get #1 and we evaluate correctly and we can get 1 of WR/Brock Bowers/DT/EDGE/LT in the draft
  9. I mean, regardless of where Carolina's pick ends up, getting ours in the 13-14 range means we probably finish 8-6 or so, which would seemingly require Fields being awesome, so let's take that. It's obviously insanely unlikely because this D is uncompetitive, so Fields would not only have to replicate last year's rushing performance but also give a roughly Cutler-level performance as a passer for this team to win 8 games. But I can't imagine a scenario where the Bears win 8 of their next 14 without Fields being amazing, so that would be the best scenario.
  10. Anything that keeps a HR prone pitcher from facing ATL in that ballpark is a good idea. The HR ball has been Kyle's biggest downfall the past few years, and this year's Braves team might be the dongiest of dongsmiths ever assembled
  11. Pretty sure Gill had a real short punt from our own territory... something under 40 yards from our 25 yard line.
  12. 3 games, and each week a (few) (deserved) fire everyone post(s)
  13. Mahomes won't play the 2H
  14. This team is a disaster, and Poles shouldn't escape with his job... but he will
  15. lol, they ran a HB draw on the goal line and scored
  16. and a terrible read leading to an INT
  17. Lol, perfect throw to Moore, and it's dropped
  18. I'm pretty sure Moore is good, but there's just no way to know that the way this offense is playing
  19. 1 target in the 1h?
  20. hahahahaha, we are so bad
