  1. Michigan needs to just make sure they don't get too cute. Throw it in to Goldin and let him feast. Dude should get 30 against that San Diego front line. I have no idea if Illinois will perform well. But I predict the margin (either way) will be in double digits.
  2. C Shea Langeliers $75 1B Vlad Guerrero Jr. $100 2B Zack Gelof $50 3B Jose Ramirez $150 SS Gunnar Henderson $150 LF Yordan Alvarez $150 CF PCA $25 RF Kyle Tucker $75 DH Aaron Judge $200 Total $975 Will PM bench players
  3. good grief Tom, the guys over there just don't have enough time/energy/whatever to keep running the site at the level they think it deserves. They're all still doing their thing, just not as frequently and in separate locations around the web.
  4. Think he signed somewhere. Atlanta maybe?
  5. I like Jarrett, interior pass rush should be improved, which makes it easier on the edges. I like the plan so far. Build the trenches, maybe grab a skill guy at 10, or just go get another big boy and trust Johnson and Caleb (and DJ, Rome, Kmet, etc.) to put points on the board
  6. Congrats on trading Geno Smith for practically nothing. (Edit: thought the pick was lower, i guess a 3rd isnt too bad.) Now you get... basically Geno Smith, only without DK Metcalf or Tyler Lockett and for more money
  7. May is a good coach. Will be interesting to see how their roster is rebuilt
  8. Yep, the double ear flaps and high socks. Bellhorn
  9. After the season he had last year as a hitter, there just doesn't seem to be any reason to risk losing his bat. If he blows out his arm again, you've lost an MVP.
  10. I would expect Mack to have more left in the tank than Bosa, but of those options I like Hendrickson the best. Maybe a 2nd rounder and a future conditional pick?
  11. wouldn't be surprised to see one of Lopez or Jankowski on the 26 man to open (probably Lopez with Nico's injury) one of the catchers will probably be up at some point seems like Keller has a shot at the pen to open the year, would love to see Hughes back in form and make some appearances
  12. I'm glad they're not relying solely on draft picks. I also want them to use some decent draft picks on the OL. Jackson was injured and then bad last year (hopefully just due to injury). Thuney is not young. But I do like these moves and think that adding these guys can make our tackles look even better
  13. I'd imagine it's awfully hard to look good on a team as bad as the Hawks have been. Jones will be a good #3 D for Florida. But yeah, that trade looks like a great one by Davidson
  14. That.... seems like a really good deal? A goaltender who has had success (of course, on a Cup contender as opposed to... Chicago) and a 1st round pick and they only retained 25%?
  15. I think it's Lance Johnson, owner of a spectacularly 90s nickname - 1 Dog
  16. yep, it appears that Alcantara is the CF depth, and I think I'm fine with that
  17. I think more than anything this team needs rest and health. I wish we could pull a Michigan c.2021 and say "we don't have enough healthy players" for the Duke game and just take a break instead of a beating. I think they're solidly in the tournament if they beat Iowa - they've got a lot of good wins, even if they do have lots of ugly losses too. The wins over Wisconsin and Missouri keep looking better and better, and they've got enough solid wins (Ohio State, Oregon, UCLA, etc.) to prop them up even as they limp to the finish
  18. In the case of Simone Biles - it's pretty clear that her accomplishments surpass other gymnasts. And that's where I'm ok with the idea of making that call. She's proven it and accomplished more than anyone else, doing more difficult things than any of them. LeBron has a statistical case as the GOAT of basketball - and it's insane that he's continued playing at such a high level for so long - but it's hard to compare statistics and accomplishments across eras (which is also true for baseball, hockey, and football). On one hand, the game favors offense as much as ever, but it's also clear that level of athlete and the general skill level worldwide is better now than ever before.
  19. Cowley reported that (unsurprisingly) AK's job is safe, Billy's too. Billy probably isn't really the problem, but they need to clean house. Deeply unserious franchise, happy to make money hand over fist
  20. They need to clean house. Fire everyone.
  21. #TeamMegathread for life
  22. Yes, Aaron Donald retired at 32, but it wasn't because he wasn't good enough anymore. He was just done with football. He was still an absolute stud - 8 sacks and 23 QB hits
  23. That's at least 3 major trades AK has made where he clearly did not get the best of the deal, even right away. Vuc trade, Caruso trade, and now this one have all been clear losers from the start. By trading Zach and getting back nothing better than guaranteeing you gst your first this year (which was basically guaranteed in any deal where Zach got dealt, you essentially traded him (and a 2nd!) for nothing.
