  1. Ouch! Good one. Why didn't he just give him a dollar bill? We all know that LeBron borrows money from CC, not the other way around
  2. No kidding. Seriously. Kid was blessed with a swing from the gods: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liS3kGvQ9Bk&feature=player_detailpage#t=183s very pretty swing, but a 502 foot HR with a metal bat? the distance of that one HR isn't why I posted the video. but ya, 16 year olds can totally jack 500 foot shots with aluminum bats off a BP speed pitch. I don't think I've ever personally seen a 450 ft shot off an aluminum bat and that's with game speed pitches. It's a moonshot for sure, I was just surprised they were using aluminum bats for a pro scout day. Nothing will beat a 14 year old Prince Fielder hitting bombs, though
  3. So you agree that Derrick Rose was awful this postseason too, right? what the [expletive] does derrick rose have to do with anything? Just clarifying, as Sponge has told us that 28-8-7 is terrible based on FG% and A crappy supporting cast
  4. So you agree that Derrick Rose was awful this postseason too, right?
  5. I won't even consider him in the same stratosphere until Lebron wins an NCAA title. Space Jam 2
  6. Game 2 vs. Spurs: 25-7-6 (2nd Scorer: Gibson -15) Game 3 vs. Spurs: 28-8-7 (2nd scorer: Gooden - 13) Game 4 vs. Spurs: 24-6-6 (2nd scorer: Gooden - 11)
  7. remember when the Red Sox were 2-10?

  9. I love how a 22 year old LeBron gets no credit for leading a team "starring" Larry Hughes and and Drew Gooden to the NBA Finals, while a 25 year old LeBron ALSO gets no credit for going to the NBA finals because he has too many good players with him. I'm not a big LBJ fan, but talk about moving the goal posts.
  10. I love that LeBron finally has a good game (triple double) and his team will still lose
  11. pic won't load
  12. let it rain, let it rain, let it rain
  13. nice to see that the Bulls aren't the only team with a few terrible last possessions in them
  14. hasn't Howard implied (or outright said) he wants to stay in a warm weather city?
  15. While Steve Nash won two. Go figure
  16. leaving Big Sexy as the oldest player in the league
  17. my WC pick is leading the WC? say it ain't so
  18. all the NSBB regulars are injured and we're stuck with the AAA call ups
  19. should a student athlete be allowed to make endorsements? can they be a sponsored athlete in a non-collegiate sport?
  20. So you're going to keep saying within limits without actually saying what that means then. I don't care enough to define the parameters. I'm just saying that the more rules you pile on these players, the more likely there will be rules broken
  21. I'm not saying the University should pay them. I'm saying the NCAA shouldn't prohibit them from making money on their own (within limits)
  22. What are the "logical limits?" Unless all memorabilia sales have to go through a pre-approved middle man, then you have tattoo artists valuing Pryor's gold pants at 300K and the backup kicker's at 10 bucks. If you go through an NCAA-approved middle man, how is that any different than giving them a paycheck? It simply wouldn't be equitable, but that's life. In the Olympics, Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps are worth way more than their Polish counterparts. Pryor is worth more than the backup punter. As long as the university isn't paying them based on that, so be it. Why shouldn't Pryor be allowed to sell his image?
  23. They should just get rid of the rules about players selling their stuff. Make it like the Olympics, where the athletes aren't given a paycheck, but are free to make money off of their image (within logical limits).
  24. some local guys here are suggesting that OSU can get on the NCAA's "good side" by throwing Pryor under the bus
  25. I wasn't aware that actually going after Howard was even a remote possibility for this team. It's not
