It's not the 12 games that's a concern, it's the extra year Bryant has to wait to be paid fair market value. Right, and it would also be more than 12 games in order to keep up appearances. Maybe I'm overreacting to Tony Clark's comments and overestimating the power of the PA in this situation, I don't know. I do worry about a potential grievance. Could be irrational on my part. I don't even know if Bryant is part of the Union yet. They are almost as much to blame here as management. Edit: he's on the 40 man roster so he's eligible. You don't join the union until you play a major league game, though, right? -

A starting lineman at University of Michigan just left the team before his senior year. Not quite the same thing, but he was going to be a starter and might have had a shot at the NFL. I wonder if a small percentage of younger players are starting to get spooked by the long term health concerns

Even those under the impression that there's a 1982 action classic entitled "Rambo" know better than that. Ha. I was 10 when The New Hope came out and I don't remember anyone calling it that. No one did. It was just released as Star Wars back then. Except it says "Episode IV: A New Hope" in the opening crawl
