  1. Its a good move for the Tribe and its nice to see them investing money into an already good team. If EE can be a power threat in that lineup, they'll win a lot of games
  2. 60M for 3 No chump change, but he thought he was an $80M player this off season
  3. Really curious about the contract. EE thought his market was much better than what it turned out to be.
  4. I was a very loyal listener to B&B during my time in Chicago. Got a few emails read for various things (Who You Crappin', etc.) It's good to have that sort of show on Sports radio. We have one here in Columbus that is of the same design; doesn't take itself seriously, makes fun of the dumb people that need made fun of, but is still passionate about sports. Also, the main host is from Chicago (and is a Bears, White Sox, Bulls fan) so I get some of the Bears anger/disappointment through him.
  5. :(
  6. What exactly is his ailment? Have they ever said?
  7. Just saw the clip of his trip against Elon. What a wholly unlikable piece of horsefeathers.
  8. Guess that answers who one of the seven people who are watching that show is
  9. No matter what, only 41,000 people get to go to the game. You aren't creating anything to feed demand
  10. Or the STH could, you know, use the seats themselves
  11. There are about 41,300 seats at Wrigley Field. People were willing to pay $3,500 for crappy upper level seats to Game 1. The scarcity of tickets relative to the demand for them is what dictated those prices. I don't know what the actual number of fans who wanted to attend one of the games was. I'm guessing it was easily over a million, though. Regardless, it turns out that the evil scalpers may have provided a way for some of these fans to attend the first WS in 71 years who would otherwise be locked out. There would be 41,000 seats whether scalpera existed or not. What are you talking about?
  12. I think they're playing the New Mexico Bowl in a high school stadium
  13. I hope they lose now. I don't care if the sex was consensual or not; running a train on a girl at a party is disgusting in any context
  14. The players for protesting or the administration for expelling players who didn't have charges pressed against them? Really? I'm not saying they are innocent. I'm saying the police didn't press charges. I'm sure the students feel like it's case closed and that their teammates are getting expelled for nothing. I don't think boycotting the game solves much
  15. The players for protesting or the administration for expelling players who didn't have charges pressed against them?
  16. The Metropolitan is ridiculous. Over the last 10 games: Penguins: 8-1-1 Rangers: 6-4-0 (eh) Jackets: 9-0-1 Capitals: 7-2-1 Flyers: 10-0-0
  17. Maddon apologizing would accomplish exactly nothing. A completely pointless gesture
  18. He was a rental who was treated like a rental. Boo hoo
  19. Sure, but for different reasons. I spent three years at Northwestern and there was literally nothing for the students to do in town. They were so up their own asses with silly laws like "no drive thru windows allowed at restaurants" and "no movie theatres". A few years after I graduated, they finally built a psuedo-mall complex with a cinema and a few restaurants. The lack of stuff to do in Evanston was compounded by the fact that the Purple Line stopped running kind of early, even on weekends, so you couldn't even go into the city without being stranded after like 11pm
  20. The 1st place Sharks would be in 6th place in the Metropolitan Division
  21. It's the least college towny college town ever since the old rich people refuse to let anything cool happen there
  22. The Cubs don't care who the horsefeathers fills the seats, they just don't want to be beaten at their own game
  23. Roast doesn't post here anymore, you're safe
