- Wood's 20k game. I was in class at Grad School at the time but checked the score online. For whatever reason the 1 hitter is what stuck out to me and I didn't realize the importance of the 20 k's until I got home and watched Sportscenter. - Brant Brown drop - in my apartment, screaming just as loud as Santo - Game 163 - again, in my apartment, and I was jumping up and down so hard I'm surprised my downstairs neighbors didn't call the cops. I almost ran to Wrigley to buy playoff tix but didn't. - Game 6 - Working at Harpo. We were putting together the set for some fashion show or something and the video guys were nice enough to pump the game in to the monitors in the studio but we had no audio. I didn't see the play live, but someone said something about fan interference and we stopped to watch the replay. (I also saw the Pistons/Pacers crowd brawl on a monitor in the video room at Harpo.....missed so many sports moments due to those horrible hours...) - Nomar trade - I was at my in-laws house for a party and kept finding reasons to slip out and check the internet for Cubs news. I was so freaking thrilled when I read the news that I was SURE it was our year. Dammit.
