  1. It's going to pour rain all day and I have nothing to do, and I STILL won't watch this game.
  2. Who's Mark Buehrle?
  3. and wear a batting helmet on the mound

Yeah, well look at the Bulls: 1995 - Picked Jason Caffey one pick before Michael Finley 1998 - Picked Corey Benjamin before Nazr Mohammed, Ruben Patterson and Cuttino Mobley 2000 - Took 5 players all before Michael Redd 2001 - Took Trenton Hassel one pick before Gilbert Arenas

Correct. he's pretty sedate. Nocioni definitely picked up the "energy" factor in the 2nd half last year and looks like he can put the team on his back at times. If the Bulls trade Gordon, I would hope it would be for a two-guard who can put up 20 ppg. EDIT: all that said, I'd trade Gordon before I traded Hinrich
  6. If you're going to trade them to anyone, it should be the Angels. They are the anti-Cubs in terms of developing position players.
  7. People have argued this for the NBA as well. Take the 16 best records in the league instead of the top 8 from each division. That would keep sub-.500 teams out of the playoffs
  8. No, no, no. I want Jeb Bush to be the new commish (so long as it keeps him off the ticket for the 2008 presidential election)
  9. http://detroit.tigers.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_124693.jpg "That taint nuttin', brah!"
  10. If two players each have 100 AB's with RISP, the difference between someone hitting, say, .230 vs. hitting .300 is 7 hits over the course of a year.

current ESPN.com poll asks "who would you take with the #1 pick in the NBA Draft?" Adam Morrisson leads by a healthy margin
  12. That's an interesting choice. Personally I don't care if the new manager is an ex-Cub or not....I just want a good manager. Agreed. I'd also look at managers who have been part of a winning tradition. That's why I've very high on Fredi Gonzalez. I hope the Braves way of doing things has rubbed off on him. Isn't that why we got Jeff Blauser? No, we got him because he hit Cubs pitching really well

I think that's an overstatement. He's a very good shooter and moves pretty well without the ball, but his defense is inconsistent and his ballhandling is below avg. at best. sure, but he's the guy who comes in and gives the team a jolt of energy. How many 4th quarter comebacks has he been responsible for? I just don't think you find that level of excitement and energy too often from a young player. He's not the best player on the team but he is exciting.
  14. I want Riggs back, but he's now in the scouting/development office for the Cardinals

Ben Gordon is the lifeblood of this team. Trading him would be ridiculous.
  16. He lost. Take that ESPN!
  17. I think trading draft picks is a monumentally stupid idea. As soon as you create a scenario where the Yankees could end up with the #1 draft pick after winning the AL East you have a big problem.
  18. Finally someone besides Bruce gets the marbles to write what we all know as THE TRUTH
  19. Wait, you're a Pirates fan now? And Truffle too? Summuva... It's good to root for a winner So then Walt's plan is working. I meant the Bucs
  20. They are 8-9 in June. Cubs are 0-infinity
  21. Wait, you're a Pirates fan now? And Truffle too? Summuva... It's good to root for a winner
  22. nah, they'll DFA Walker
  23. If he'll restructure his contract, sure. But I ain't paying $12 million for a closer
