  1. If that's the case, then the Pitt Panther costume is made from the ratty remains of the Nittany Lion costume: http://www.e-education.psu.edu/courses/emsc602/portfolio_template/graphics/lion.jpeg http://graphics.fansonly.com/schools/pitt/graphics/trads/mascot1.jpg
  2. I'd sign him to be the Cubs' punter in a heartbeat.
  3. And Crede + Garcia is actually more like Moore + Mateo. I meant in terms of "the team's starting 3B and a starting pitcher" I know what you meant. and if moore and mateo played as well as crede and garcia i'd be thrilled

  6. Why? Do you really think the difference between USC/LSU and Michigan/Florida is so great that they would be unworthy of a championship even if they won a playoff(and in turn beat at least 3 top 10 teams)? An NFL team can be 9-7 and win the Super Bowl, so what's the difference?
  7. You figure Crede and Garcia, in Cubs terms, is like A-Ram and Prior. So no thanks
  8. Put me down! I am down! why do we care about White Sox trade rumors again?
  9. I guarantee they ruin a good thing by having god awfully hideous alternates (like red jerseys with black pants and red shoes or something equally horrific)
  10. PLEASE make your avatar smaller
  11. 1. I didnt know those 2 teams play against each other freqeuntly. Well its a good opportunity for PSU to prove themselves other than the 4 tough losses to top 12 teams. 2. There seems to be a lot of people in and even outside of B10 that thinks this game is going to be a OSU route. I believe they've played each other in a Bowl game at least twice in the last 10-15 years. Not frequent, but they've played before EDIT: PSU beat the Vols 42-17 in the 1991 Fiesta Bowl and 31-13 in the 1993 Citrus Bowl. They've also played Auburn twice in that span
  12. Reason 3: To rehab your injury prone ML players. if it comes to that, yes. My hope is that the Cubs are in it to win it this year, and as such, don't think any of the young arms should be part of that plan (unless they are just out of this world in Spring Training).
  13. I was mistaken in mentioning Gallagher. Sorry about that. And never seeing them pitch again was a bit of hyerbole. My point is that your farm system is there for 2 reasons; to develop talent and to give you trading pieces. I don't understand the one or two of (seemingly) a dozen young arms to get a guy who is ready now (jennings)
  14. Am I the only person who never, EVER wants to see Mateo, Guzman, Gallagher or Marshall every pitch another inning for the Cubs again?
  15. PSU vs. Tennessee.....again. I was hoping for something new. USC vs. Michigan will be 100 times better than OSU vs. Florida, a game I'm seriously contemplating not watching at all.
  16. The difference is that the NFL has a more balanced schedule and each team plays each other twice in their division. Ohio State didn't even play Wisconsin. so what? The point is that a bowl rematch isn't unprecedented (though rare) and doesn't take anything away from that potential NC mathcup if the BCS system has deemed them the best 2 teams in the country.
  17. I'm a little late to the party here, but I'll say that Florida deserves the NC shot over Michigan simply because they are champs of their conference. What I don't buy is the "If Michigan plays and wins, then they are 1-1 against OSU" bullcrap. So, if the Bears faced the Patriots in the Super Bowl this year, it wouldn't count somehow because New England beat them earlier in the year?
  18. I'm sorry, Zelda is one of the greatest franchises of all time. Ocarina of Time is easily my favorite game of all-time. How many versions of GTA, Sonic, Halo, DOA, etc. do we need? You can say that about any of the three companies. Zelda is indeed great. I've been playing them since the NES As for your other questions: Versions of Halo: 2 GTA: 4 (on this generation of consoles) Sonic: Only one or two, and they've sucked since Dreamcast DOA: no idea Now I'm pretty sure that they had like 8 MarioParty's for the N64 alone, so....
  19. smart choice. Atlanta doesn't look built to win this year
  20. Am I the only one who can't wait for the season to start so we can stop talking about the same 5 stupid pitchers over and over and over again?
  21. 1. With a few exceptions (Resident Evil), Nintendo systems tend not to support M-Rated games (thus some people calling it too cartoony, a kiddie machine, etc.) 2. How can anyone say that Nintendo doesn't recycle games over and over? Most creative? How many versions of Mario Party, MarioKart, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Smash Brothers and Zelda do we need?
  22. especially since Scott is basically just "White Juan"
