  1. I said no sideburns Mattingly! http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/baseball/yankees/blog/donniemattinglyhair.gif
  2. OMC vs. Sulleymon
  3. ha ha ha.....you're serious? think there might be a difference between the NL Central and the others?
  4. the day punctuation died Give him a break, English is not his first language. they don't punctuate in Italia?
  5. Why would that make you opposed to trading picks? I would think that would be an argument for trading them, since bad teams could get better assets for a pick that has a strong likelihood of being worth significantly less than what they would receive. i'm not opposed to it, i'm just not clamoring for it. The value of a draft pick in the MLB vs. the NBA is exponential.
  6. this is why I'm fine with the "no trading draft picks" rule in the MLB. The draft is such a crap shoot, that high draft picks are rarely guaranteed. For every Chipper Jones, Alex Rodriguez and Ken Griffey Jr. you have a Paul Wilson, Ben McDonald and Brien Taylor
  7. I'll vote for anyone that Rocket and Treeman hold in reverence
  8. Oh look, it's a game I can watch, and Ted Friggin' Lilly is pitching....again. I swear I've seen him start like 6 times, while maybe once each for everyone else
  9. i just like that Francona has batted a slow, white first baseman at leadoff because, get this, HE GETS ON BASE A LOT. Now I know he's just clogging up the bases, but....
  10. they sure do love berries in the Dominican Republican
  11. +1 - 10 I love Steve Stone.

  13. Agreed. A lot of those other guys were miscast by bad management. Most being role players who were made regulars. Todd Hundley got a boatload of money and just plain stunk!!!!!!!!! he was a tool, but hendry actually made a positive out of him when all was said and done
  14. I don't care how many homers he hits as long as the Cubs win the games. Fielder is on my HR Derby team, so he can hit 14 HR in the series as long as we win all the games
  15. I'm not sure lifetime would be wise, but I'd give him a 10 year contract. Back-loaded of course. don't forget the no-trade clause
  16. I am in awe of your power!
  17. So.......much............hate...........
  18. Lou did bump into him with his body before the kicking started, but that's not enough to warrant a suspension....maybe a small fine
  19. sound like about 90% of the posts in every game thread here If the people posting in game threads were being paid to broadcast play by play this might be a relevant. if this was a White Sox board, I might care
  20. sound like about 90% of the posts in every game thread here
  21. I don't wanna sound like an ass, but you really shouldn't just start a thread because you "would like to". There is a set list on there. You should try and make sure to not miss your start when it comes. According to the list, you are currently up. Whether that is referring to today's game or tomorrow's isn't really clear but you haven't exactly explained it either. It's too late now, not worth getting into a pissing match over. But the general rule is that Laura or Raisin will PM you whenit's your turn and, if the team wins, you continue to start threads
  22. i figured i was starting this one again, but oh well. Laura PM'ed me last night to spot start today's thread, so maybe she worked something out with New Era
