  4. I'm freezing in my room. Of course I just realized I still have th AC on so I turned it off and opened the window. (however, hooray for free air and heat) well "free" is rolled into the cost of your room and board

  10. I know in case of overlaps the start of the new game starts on TNT then shifts to TBS when the old game ends. Not sure if it's different locally. *rolls eyes*...and they just couldn't have used TNT to broadcast games as well? because people would flip between TBS and TNT whenever one game or the other went to commercial, which advertisers hate
  11. the production is alright i guess. nothing special. they have their own k-zone type graphic, but nothing as cheesy as FOX (Hi, I'm Slider!)
  12. just turned it on....looks like Hamels has dropped the soap early in this one
  13. I hate the was Paterno is handling things right now. He's super surly in his press conferences, and is inexcusably standing up for his crappy QB while throwing the rest of his offense under the bus. He claimed that Morelli was fine against Illinois and would have been better if his receivers weren't dropping balls or failing to make big plays in the clutch. What dropped balls?
  14. that is by far the funniest thing i've read all day
  15. Yeah, Byrnes, Young and Reynolds (and Jackson to a lesser extent) have been adamant about defending themselves against Pythag. It's kind of funny how big a deal something like that has become in the mainstream media. I think the only 2 other teams to make the playoffs with a minus in RS/RA were the 84 Royals and Padres a couple of years ago. Those teams won 84 and 83 games respectively. This years Diamondbacks are kind of a oddity. A first in baseball history if you must. Winning 90 and making the playoffs with a losing Pythag. I think that is why the mainstream media is picking up on it. I will say that if "knowing how to win" was such a valuable skill, how come more teams havent done it in history. Also if "knowing how to win" was such a skill how come the 84 Royals and 05 Padres got eliminated from the playoffs rather quickly. I heard on Mike and Mike that the 87 Twins were the only one to have ever won a playoff game. The others were all swept and they said the others but I don't remember who they were. yes, the D-Backs are the 5th team to make the playoffs with a negative run differential, and only the 87 Twins (who won it all) have even won one postseason game
  16. you silly nillys....everyone knows the outfield next year will be Soriano/Hunter/Jock
  17. Even if he didn't just resign I'd ask if you've been smoking crack... Fluke career year at age 35, dear god no. maybe you should ask if HE has been smoking crack
  18. the correct response would have been "yes, but there is just one thing that would take my mind off of it for a little while" CHICKA-BOW-BOW
  19. i won't be working during pretty much every game. i didn't see Game 6 or Game 7 at all in 2003 (or Game 1 for that matter)
