  1. why does one or the other have to be better? they're different players. because Williams is from Illinois DUH no, he's not. he's from texas. yeah, thanks. U. of Illinois. you knew that, but you wanted to be difficult. i understand

  3. You can't compare basketball and baseball. i just did. oh, and the dunk contest was insane Well, OK, you can. But that doesn't make it logical. A point guard in basketball just might have a bit more influence on a game than a baseball shortstop. Just maybe. but it's a team sport. you can lead the league in scoring individually but be on a last place team. that doesn't make you a worse player than a guy scoring half as much but being on a winning team.
  4. you could have IGNORED it
  5. someone tell the brewers that they can't have Braun and Fielder BOTH play DH every day

  7. Ryan Theriot is a better SS than Hanley Ramirez because his team has a better record
  8. Taylor Battle drove the lane into traffic and as he went up, the ball went flying. it was tough to say from the replay if he lost the ball on his own or if he got fouled, but at real speed, the call HAD to be made. Which begs the question why the hell would trent be in there on defense? He couldn't guard me. the game was a coin flip. it came down to free throws, and PSU went 14/18 while UofI went 5/10. seems to be a trend with the Illini (though PSU lost a game or two due to poor FT shooting as well)
  9. IU is beating the piss out of MSU, even without DJ White
  10. same can be said for the NLDS vs. the Braves, and they Braves have fans all over the south

  12. STEP 1: Extort city for millions STEP 2: Have great surge in attendance year one STEP 3: Continue to field lousy team STEP 4: See attendance shrink to pre-stadium levels STEP 5: PROFIT! [c] Pittsburgh Pirates
  13. i got players #3 and #9 in the first 2 rounds of the NSBB Keeper League. Kudos to me I guess
  14. you just seem oblivious to the fact that you a) state this opinion b) have a lot of people refute it c) a day passes d) repeat step a) i'm pretty sure you just cut and paste your "Hendry wants a leadoff hitter" paragraph over and over and then never read what anyone else says
  15. I assume you mean Roy. And yes, if we can't get any of the freshman phenoms (which is unlikely anyway), I really hope we can find a way to get Hibbert. oh, yeah, Roy. Greg Hibbard was a pitcher I think. oops
  16. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz /ironic post
  17. so do the Bulls have any interest in Greg Hibbert this draft? not too many 7'3" guys to choose from out there
  18. i was surprised to hear the Gameday guys say that Ohio St. was "out" of the tourney. 16-7 (8-4) and a 37 RPI = out? tough crowd
  19. i'm the only taking pitchers. i think i'm doing this wrong
  20. 2nd Round 13. Grady Sizemore 14. Prince Fielder 15. Jake Peavy

  22. 1. Alex Rodriguez 2. Albert Pujols 3. Hanley Ramirez 4. Jose Reyes 5. Ryan Braun 6. David Wright 7. Chase Utley 8. Jimmy Rollins 9. Miguel Cabrera 10. Johan Santana
  23. i'll pick here soon....sorry, i was out of town all day yesterday/today. won't keep you waiting too much longer
  24. additional loss of scholarship and/or post season ineligiblity Depends on how they handle Sampson. My guess is that they fire Sampson at the end of the season. correct :beg: I'm hoping they do fire Sampson and are thus spared post season eligiblity Couldn't happen to a nicer guy! Sampscum shouldn't be able to get another job after this! :yahoo: if creeps like Bobby Huggins can keep getting jobs....
