  1. you just seem oblivious to the fact that you a) state this opinion b) have a lot of people refute it c) a day passes d) repeat step a) i'm pretty sure you just cut and paste your "Hendry wants a leadoff hitter" paragraph over and over and then never read what anyone else says
  2. I assume you mean Roy. And yes, if we can't get any of the freshman phenoms (which is unlikely anyway), I really hope we can find a way to get Hibbert. oh, yeah, Roy. Greg Hibbard was a pitcher I think. oops
  3. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz /ironic post
  4. so do the Bulls have any interest in Greg Hibbert this draft? not too many 7'3" guys to choose from out there
  5. i was surprised to hear the Gameday guys say that Ohio St. was "out" of the tourney. 16-7 (8-4) and a 37 RPI = out? tough crowd
  6. i'm the only taking pitchers. i think i'm doing this wrong
  7. 2nd Round 13. Grady Sizemore 14. Prince Fielder 15. Jake Peavy
  8. quit yer' bitchin'...i'm home. i'll just hold you guys up again when i head to the Fiery Food Festival tomorrow afternoon :yahoo:
  9. 1. Alex Rodriguez 2. Albert Pujols 3. Hanley Ramirez 4. Jose Reyes 5. Ryan Braun 6. David Wright 7. Chase Utley 8. Jimmy Rollins 9. Miguel Cabrera 10. Johan Santana
  10. i'll pick here soon....sorry, i was out of town all day yesterday/today. won't keep you waiting too much longer
  11. additional loss of scholarship and/or post season ineligiblity Depends on how they handle Sampson. My guess is that they fire Sampson at the end of the season. correct :beg: I'm hoping they do fire Sampson and are thus spared post season eligiblity Couldn't happen to a nicer guy! Sampscum shouldn't be able to get another job after this! :yahoo: if creeps like Bobby Huggins can keep getting jobs....
  12. In case Deucebaseman doesn't believe that PetCo is the reason Greene is better on the road: 2007 San Diego Padres AS A TEAM: Home: .235/.310/.378 72 HR, 323 R Road: .265/.330/.440 99 HR, 414 R
  13. why does this argument keep happening? Theriot should bat 10th in any order in the league. that's right, 10th
  14. Stop trying to make the playoffs with a .400 record. well i wouldn't say they are trying very hard. if they make the playoffs with a .400 record its' not becasue of their awesome effort
  15. an interesting thing about that 3 HR game....was he challenged because he had Pie batting behind him? In other words, you put a better hitter behind him (Roberts, Fukodome, etc.) does he see more fastballs or less? In turn, moving him down to #5 in the order likely puts a Pie-like hitter behind him, meaning the pitchers are more likely or less likely to throw him fastballs?
  16. Well, he had 233 PA's leading off an inning, hitting .313/.339/.571 I'd say most of those were as the #1 hitter, as he only had 40 total PA's batting elsewhere (3rd, 5th or 8th)
  17. it's very easy to paint a senators voting record as negative. Clinton has tried in several debates, and Obama has done a good job of rebutting her claims. I think specifically of the debate where she put into question how many times Obama cast a "non-vote" in the Illinois senate, trying to frame him as someone who was either non-committal, absent, etc. He rebutted with the fact that if there was a good bill with some questionable aspects, he felt it best to non-vote, as he didn't want to look like he was against the principle of the bill, but also couldn't in good faith allow it through with the questionable portions intact
  18. in his 3 HR game, Soriano lead off twice (1st and 4th inning) and hit 2nd in the 2nd (his second HR). Now when he hits leadoff HR's, your #2 hitter is essentially leading off, as there are still 0 on, 0 out. Felix Pie was batting 2nd that day and struck out on a wild pitch in the 1st (reached 1st), and struckout looking in the 4th. not sure what my point is, just looking at the game log. Oh, and 6 of our 9 "leadoff hitters" reached in that game.
  19. that last at-bat of the year, eh? I'll give you THREE at-bats, all in the same game! YOU READY? AB #1: Pitch 1: Ball in Play - Home Run AB #2: Pitch 1: Ball in Play - Home Run AB #3: Pitch 1: Foul Pitch 2: Foul PItch 3: Ball in Play - Home Run See, wasn't that fun?
  20. why not? and who says it will be Grossman? it very well could be ORton. either way, I think people make a bigger deal out of the QB pos then is really needed. Johnson would GREATLY improve a position we need improving. i don't think you can make too big a deal about the QB position in regards to a WR, as the WR is rendered completely useless when the QB can't get the ball to him.
  21. I was told there would be no math
  22. Feel like singing? I did sing it! My boys went all dressed up in Cub outfits to school today....its the hap happiest day of the year.... Opening Day is a brazillion times better than today.
