  1. I think Ohio State is a lock now
  2. so pretty fun, eh Illini fans? that was pretty much a carbon copy of last night (every contested, crap shot Purdue takes goes in, none of UI/PSU's open looks fall). and those black uni's were awful
  3. That was just one example of many. The greatest legitimate home run hitter of all time, Hank Aaron, never hit 50 home runs in a season but Brady Anderson did. I guess you're right, the steroid era didn't skew the stats at all. I realize it's tough to admit that the baseball you have watched most of your life has been tainted by steroids but it is what it is. skewed and tainted are two different concepts. I don't think anyone is arguing that the stats are markedly different in the steroid era. what we're arguing is that those skewed stats somehow compromised the game forever
  4. well 3 of those 4 would have to be the two UConn and one Syracuse team that won it all, so who is the other? dunno, just said the half of them were uconn. i'm unable to easily find this info look up a few posts, I listed them
  5. well 3 of those 4 would have to be the two UConn and one Syracuse team that won it all, so who is the other? Last 20 years (1989-2008) 1989 - Seton Hall 1996 - Syracuse 1999 - UConn 2003 - Syracuse 2004 - UConn 2007 - Georgetown So he was right
  6. well 3 of those 4 would have to be the two UConn and one Syracuse team that won it all, so who is the other?
  7. per Rotoworld: His fetish for LRLRLR lineups is ridiculous when it results in GEOVANY SOTO batting 7th. SEVENTH? For crap's sake, Lou...
  8. yeah hopefully the tourney committee realizes that the score is a reflection of an average-shooting team just having a night that they shot the lights out (especially from deep) and not a reflection of penn st playing poorly. you're assuming the committee looks at anything but the final score at this point.
  9. I expected to lose, but not to be completely uncompetitive
  10. mercy rule please
  11. Purdue just hit their 462nd 3 pointer
  12. tisdale is easily the overall #1. I just hope he doesn't declare after this year. you can't teach length
  13. LOL. Here I thought "there's no way Purdue can shoot as well in the 2nd half as they did in the 1st." Yeah, whoops.
  14. I can't even be mad about this PSU/Purdue game. Every junk, contested shot Purdue is throwing up there is dropping. Yeah, Penn State is giving up too many easy layups, but that's what happens when you have to guard 25 feet from the basket to try (and fail) to guard the 3 point shot
  15. rationale is "payback for starting your own Network"
  16. Like a non-glazed donut. With 1950s hair cuts. to be fair, the guys is broadcasting 10 games in 4 days
  17. so.... MSU vs. MINN OSU vs. WIS ILL vs. MICH PUR vs. PSU who wins tomorrow?
  18. Well let me ask you...what is the Big 10 pecking order at this point? I am thinking.... MSU Illinois Purdue Wisconsin Ohio State Michigan Minnesota Penn State I personally believe all 8 should be in...but if the committee decides that the Big Ten doesn't deserve 8 teams, its pretty clear that Penn State is the team that as of right now is the team that's out. I think PSU should be in though, I think they have the potential to make a run in the NCAAs. what are Minnesota's big wins?
  19. this dumbass on ESPN is saying "PSU is definitely NOT in the tourney". His reasoning? Loss to Temple and they beat Purdue without Hummel. No mention of the win at MSU. No mention of the Illinois sweep. He basically discredited their 10-8 conference record (because he clearly hates the Big Ten)
  20. I was quoting stats from the last 9 starts of 2003, not the last 3. Reading comprehension is your friend. Look at some of those pitch counts. You can't tell me that didn't play a significant factor in his arm troubles. But Meph said it didn't (with no data to back it up), so it must be true
  21. if Penn State loses to Indiana after amassing a 20 point lead in the 2nd half, they should fire everyone Villanova almost did it earlier lol. Indiana isn't exactly Marquette
  22. if Penn State loses to Indiana after amassing a 20 point lead in the 2nd half, they should fire everyone
  23. I keep hearing that PSU is a "last four in", but I won't believe it until I hear them named on Sunday
