  2. Salmons is pretty good for a guy I've never heard of
  3. refunds? I kid
  4. none taken
  5. yep. You're talking Pomeroy's #21 at home against #76. It would be an upset.
  6. Not quite to the same level. Deron Williams was kinda the best of that bunch. Luther was the second best. If those two weren't there it isn't near the upset. it was an upset based on the fact that it was at Champaign, and PSU sucked. A win by PSU this year would be far less of an upset, though I'm not counting on it. The regular season finale in State College will probably be closer.
  7. Bars? Talk Radio AA meeting. Tony LaRussa's house
  8. Look at those mischievous devils setting up an Illinois vs. Kansas second round game
  9. Like last year, for instance. Illinois probably has the toughest finishing stretch of any Big Ten team for the last 5 games: PSU twice, at OSU, and home vs. Minn and MSU. However, they actually now control their own destiny to the Big Ten title and 1 seed if they win out. First step is tonight, so I really hope they come ready to play. PSU also won in Champaign against one of the Williams/Head/Brown teams Nope, that was just a Brown/Augustine team. It was the year after the national runner up team. That was the game McBride hit the game winner a little less than .1 seconds too late. That game cost us a shared Big Ten title, and at least a 3 seed.(We got hosed as it was, but that had to be what the committee looked back on.) ah, okay, so the year after the NC appearance. Either way, it was an upset

  11. PSU at Illinois tonight. I'd say they have no chance to win, but I said that when they played at MSU too, so you never know. Worse PSU teams than this have won in Champaign
  12. see? Ed Hightower is the head ref for EVERY BIG TEN GAME
  13. I didn't even tune in until the end of the 3-point contest. The dunk contest was pretty weak too
  14. The Yankees must not be opening their season in the new ballpark. both the yankees and mets start on the road
  15. looks like Tyson Chandler is heading to OKC in exchange for Joe Smith and Chris Wilcox
  16. Isn't that usually the case? don't remember. When the Cubs open during the day (or on Sunday night) it's not an issue
  17. ahh the trusty babip. this just in, your babip is going to be low when you hit the ball softly every time up. i guess fukudome doesn't really suck, he was just unlucky that those 2 hoppers tothe shortstop didn't sneak over the fence so explain the difference in his numbers between Japan and the US then
  18. Opening Day not being on WGN would really bother me if it wasn't for the fact that I get the CSN games in HD but not WGN Also, Opening Day is the same day as the NCAA Championship game
  19. I'm hoping Gathright somehow doesn't make it, as he and Johnson are completely redundant defensively. It's not worth carrying a guy just as a pinch runner when you have a 12 man pitching staff. Also, there is no one to back up Aramis on that bench.
  20. Rotoworld had a brief thing on Pudge, and the Cubs weren't listed as being on his radar
  21. that's a pretty shaky limb
