  1. The Cubs have been EXTREMELY stingy when it comes to retiring numbers. At this point, they've only retired 3, and only 2 of those are Hall of Famers. Maddux will be the first Cub to have his number retired but wear another team's cap when he goes into the Hall
  2. almost had free tix to this game
  3. I heard Anderson Cooper use the term "on line" on AC360 last night
  4. Yeah, sorry guys, the tiebreaker should be "Date of Lou's First Ejection", with "none" being an option. Go ahead and edit your entries accordingly
  5. looks like PSU gets a rematch with Rhode Island in round 2.
  6. just saw the hilights of the game. The game tying 3 from Battle was ridiculous
  7. umm........ maddux was a cub for nine and a half seasons jenkins was a cub for nine and a half seasons yeah okay fine. I wasn't a Cub fan yet. It's still a dumb idea.
  8. a decade as a Cub. A DECADE? Please tell me you're not including his minor league career.
  9. I know a team that would take him.
  10. no they dont, they lay hens. and you need to learn how to take coffee or just turn in your penis wait wait, I know this one...
  11. I don't think the recruiting edge is THAT great for a Cinderella team. George Mason was in the Final Four a couple of years ago, and just got bounced in the first round of the NIT this year. It makes for a good story, but very few schools see sustained success from it (Gonzaga being the exception to the rule)
  12. You can check the 2008 Contest thread for the detailed rules, but basically this is the same as last year. Entries due by NOON on April 4, 2009. Good Luck! Team Stats & Scoring 1. 14. sounds like an exciting game. Too bad it was on ESPNU and I couldn't see it :x

  16. I didn't think there even WAS premium anymore
  17. Whose name goes on the flag?
  18. I suspect Meph probably won. I thought his asking was his way of bragging. I could be wrong. And BTW, this year we have an entry called Meth's System Picks. :D they must have dropped out or changed their name, because I don't see that one.
  19. Doesn't seem to be happening. My link to the league page is broken. I blame IMB!
  20. I usually scan the new phone book for any useful restaurant coupons and then banish it to the closet.

  22. I offered Laura to help again, and she said she's on the fence about it. We may have to do it without physical prizes this year.... if it comes down to doing it or not doing it I will help out. I think implementing it isn't the issue. I think people would do it without prizes, so my vote is to do it. I'll PM Laura again.
  23. I'll be cheering for all the Big Ten teams, even though I know that the entire Final Four could come from the conference and no one would give them any credit. At least the matchups aren't as terrible as the B10 Bowl Matchups were.
  24. Not when I'm in chicago. But back in indiana where lots of businesses don't have their own websites and I still want to contact them, yes, all the time. businesses don't need their own websites to be listed on yahoo yellow pages or google
