  1. not that Power Rankings mean anything, but the Bears will always be treated differently than the Vikings, because Brett Favre is Football Jesus (with all due respect to Tim Tebow) while Jay Cutler is Football Baby-Raping Serial Killer
  2. There are a few systems where it works. There must be 1, 3, 5, etc. going on at once. The Bob Costas' system is one in which it does work. It is the major hurdle in the 15/15 system. It works, and it's not that hard. how many interleague series does each team have to play to do it?
  3. while I'm interested to see if this team can take another step, my enthusiasm is tempered by the fact that the team basically did nothing to improve in the off season
  4. though I haven't sat down and tried it, I'm going to guess that sustaining one interleague series at all times (re: 15 teams per league) is logistically impossible
  5. nice to see that the idiotic sports-writing isn't just limited to the Cubs in Chicago http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/chi-28-haugh-bears-chicago-sep28,0,6808002.column
  6. Do you think Tommy Hanson will be successful next year? I have no idea. How is that relevant?
  7. I'm not counting on Wells for anything next year.
  8. his pass protection is unreal
  9. we'll see how Favre does in the 2nd half.
  10. I thought drinking was against your religion
  11. Bengals 2-1 Steelers 1-2 Titans 0-3 It's bizarro NFL
  12. TD BENGALS!
  13. Bengals convert on 4th and 10 and are now 1st and goal with 20 seconds left
  14. despite the loss last night, the schedule doesn't look that hard the rest of the way for PSU: @ Illinois vs. E. Illinois vs. Minnesota @ Michigan @ Northwestern vs. Ohio State vs. Indiana @ Michigan State there are some sure wins in there, but no slam dunk losses. Not playing Wisconsin helps...
  15. 11 yard punt? was it tipped? (I'm following on GameCast)
  16. and there's no basis (based on what I saw) that they'll go 11-1. Despite it being a down year, it's really hard to run the table in the Big 10
  17. Iowa at #6? Let's not get silly here.....you're going to lose 2 or 3 games this year.
  18. they're doing you a favor
  19. not sure how far PSU will drop, but it'll probably be into the range that's more accurate than #5. The next two games are (on paper) fairly easy, but I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing anymore.
  20. Knowing that PSU got pimp-slapped by Iowa again this year probably tempers your enthusiasm, however. I'm taking what I can get
  21. I thought losing to UNI was pretty special uni would be 11 point favorites against penn state. lol. if it was played at the uni dome. penn state wouldn't stand a chance in that environment. We'll never know......Penn State doesn't schedule anyone as tough as UNI
  22. The Big East only has 8 teams
  23. purdue just ran the worst play I've ever seen
  24. I thought losing to UNI was pretty special uni would be 11 point favorites against penn state. lol.
  25. I thought losing to UNI was pretty special
