  1. Gregg has been better than Wood this year and we could not have afforded it Why can't you people tell the difference between offering arbitration and insisting on bringing him back. I said all along it was the smart thing to do to let somebody else sign him even if I personally wanted him back. But it was stupid to not offer arbitration. what if you offer it and he accepts, but you can't afford to pay it?
  2. Awful. Just awful. depends on who's going the other way It's not going to be good. maybe, but we haven't heard name one from a legit source. We know for sure that Fox hasn't been pulled off the field.
  3. right up there with Bagwell to Houston or Schilling to Philly IMO
  4. well, besides the 20 or so who are worse. But if you discount those, maybe the worst, yes
  5. every time the bullpen phone rings, the Astros relievers are all saying "please not me, please not me, please not me"
  6. WHERE WAS THIS OFFENSE IN APRIL-JUNE?
  7. Rodriguez, Sosa and Hill left to right. :-& three DH's
  8. FOX HR still, 5 runs won't win this thing
  9. I will personally drive a truck full of HGH to Wrigley Field if it would mean a WS ring
  10. Grabow 2009 = Heredia 1998 Lefty for the sake of getting a lefty
  11. Soriano in CF can't be much worse than Sosa in CF (which we saw)
  12. Carrasco was scheduled to go for Lehigh Valley last night, but he got scratched and they pitched 5 relievers. Coincidentally, they were playing Columbus, so I wonder of Carrasco goes for the Clippers tonight
  13. I would watch it if the final segment was just Bartman kicking Moises Alou in the nuts over and over for 5 minutes
  14. this is pathetic.
  15. Oh for eff's sake, give me a break. Let's stop pretending that Tim Tebow is some once-in-a-generation athlete who could magically compete at "most" positions in the NFL. There are probably two dozen more "athletic" players on his own team. He's a tall guy with a pretty strong arm who plays in a gimmick offense and occasionally gets his nose bloodied when he falls across the goal line from a foot out. Someone's been drinking the Meph Kool-Aid....
  16. Last 7 Days: Aramis Ramirez - .500, 3 HR, 10 RBI Derrek Lee - .439 Kosuke Fukudome - .412 Alfonso Soriano - .360 Milton Bradley - .353
