  1. maybe our first round draft pick will actually get some minutes now
  2. Anyone who makes a big deal about anyone getting caught with weed deserves scorn, regardless of the race of the person that got caught. If you are making a big deal about the weed alone, I agree, but if getting caught puts that person's availability in peril somehow whether it be by league suspension or jail, or especially if the weed was being used before or during driving, then there's absolutely nothing wrong with laying on the criticism. my point was that the initial poster's attitude was "oh, that wacky Lincecum and his pot", where there are plenty of other players who would not be let off so easily in the same situation
  3. great, now the Cubs can go sign Bay
  4. What do I win?
  5. 20 starts from Harden >>>>>>>>>>>> 30 starts from Marshall/Gorz/Shark
  6. It's all cute and funny when the white hippie dude gets caught, but imagine the [expletive] storm if this had been, say, Milton Bradley instead of Tim Lincecum....
  7. Exciting or not, this team isn't going anywhere if it consistently scores under 100 points
  8. I hate white people, does that make me racist?
  9. Doesn't he hold the record for lowest Wunderlik (sp?) scores in any combine?
  10. One caller said Pryor was "an amazing football player from the waist down". The guy should be a WR who sometimes lines up in the Wildcat. He should not be the leader of your offense. If you take away his running game (and he's the team's leading rusher, BTW), and force him to throw, he's toast.
  11. I happened to be listening to Columbus sports radio yesterday afternoon and the subject of "do you regret the fact that OSU landed Terrelle Pryor" is already coming up (2/3 of the way through his sophomore year).
  12. what's amazing is that the numbers can't touch ratings from the pre-cable era. The 1975 World Series (Reds vs. Red Sox) averaged 76 million viewers What's amazing about that? Most people didn't have cable then. There was far less to watch. It just marks the difference in eras. There is nothing that will approach that kind of viewership again.
  13. what's amazing is that the numbers can't touch ratings from the pre-cable era. The 1975 World Series (Reds vs. Red Sox) averaged 76 million viewers
  14. Who the crap decided to hire Ozzie Guillen for post-show insight?
  15. Mason's GAA is over 3.50. That's not good....
  16. sorry about your loss to Northwestern
  17. 3rd week in a row I'll get the Bears game (and the NFL Network game will make it 4). I think I saw 3 games total last year
  18. Yanks will take care of this at home
  19. I think Cliff lee wins one for Philly tonight and the Yankees wrap it up at home
  20. outside of the obvious (winning), the Bears biggest priority is to stay healthy this game, as there is a short turnaround before a Thursday night game against the 49ers. Why they don't do a Thursday game after the bye week is beyond me...
  21. Columbus has cooled off after a quick start, but remain just 2 points behind Chicago
  22. Play action does nothing when you can't run the ball. And it takes more time for playaction passes to develop, leaving Cutler even more vulnerable to the rush. The few times they used it on a roll out gave Cutler the most time to pass, though. And just because they weren't successful running the ball doesn't mean they didn't try, meaning it was easy for the defense to recognize run vs. pass right after the ball was snapped.
  23. I actually thought there wasn't enough play-action being called in general. A little more might make the blitz calls less easy for opposing DC's. They should also do some designed roll outs or just generally move the pocket more. Cutler is going to get killed back there.
  24. I do not like ARod, especially since that "fake" press conference in Spring Training where he admitted to steroids. He didn't sincerely mean it, he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar and was force to admit, otherwise he would have kept doing it. And while it does seem he is about to get a ring, doesn't mean I think he should get on. But oh well, another douchebag with a ring. You don't want a douche bag to get a ring, yet you cheer for a team coached by Nick Saban. You must be so conflicted...
