  1. OSU's defense is better than advertised. I thought the PSU/OSU game would be close, but I didn't think PSU's offense would be made to look so bad (and Clark, with all due respect, is a lot better than Vandenberg). You also have a backup QB going into a hostile stadium with the Rose Bowl on the line. Good luck to Iowa, but it's not looking good for you...
  2. luckily Thursday is the big TV night at my house, so I'll have no temptation to watch this train wreck
  3. I think Rose has to get healthy and have a great year in order to lure FA's to Chicago. he has to show that he's a PG that a championship team is built around
  4. I thought the same thing last week and you saw how that worked out
  5. the Bears should mix things up, maybe blitz every 3rd down :banghead:
  6. Hahaha one of my favorite schools. A school named after a state that is not in that state. On top of that it's not even a bordering state. I remember first learning about that when I was a kid and thinking it was funny. I use it as a trivia question sometimes. It's named that because the college is located in the city of Indiana. Quiet, he's on a roll
  7. OSU nearly a 2 TD favorite against Iowa? Jesus.
  8. Iowa @ OSU is a playoff game for the Rose Bowl bid
  9. I think it's an optical illusion caused by his size 27 hat
  10. HGH is a helluva drug. Can't wait to see what McGwire looks like next year
  11. looks like Fox airing "Daddy Day Care" instead of this game was actually doing me a favor
  12. OSU is way too high; one win against a good team and a terrible loss to Purdue isn't the resume for a top 10 placement
  13. Fox is showing Daddy Day Care instead of this game. F my life
  14. But the Yankees won the WS without a speedy lead-off hitter, so that has to be off the table.
  15. a quick start is something that has eluded this team for years....it's nice to see
  16. you're right, points are really overrated in sports.
  17. I just don't think the Bulls players are sitting around in the clubhouse thinking, "Man I wish we had BG back." Over the course of the season Salmons/Deng will more then make us forget about Gordon. In fact, I am not missing BG. I don't care what the Bulls are thinking in the clubhouse. Gordon scored nearly 21 ppg last year, and so far this year (small sample alert), both Rose, Salmons and TT's ppg are down as well. Deng and Noah's improved ppg's barely make up for those 3 much less Gordon's numbers. Overall, the team is scoring FIFTEEN (!!!!) fewer ppg than last year.
  18. Oregon's only going to the BCS if they win the Pac 10. yeah, i mean oregon wining the pac 10 and usc making it at large. Oregon would have to lose twice for USC to win the Pac-10 right now
  19. what the [expletive] Location: Columbia, MO Did I really need to put my post in the green sarcasm font? Or should I just assume the reason you didn't get it was because- Location: Des Moines, Iowa I don't know your posting history enough to assume sarcasm.
  20. someone needs to put this thread in a time capsule for Skyballer so ten years from now he can read it and facepalm himself
  21. no, not that at all
  22. Iowa is going to get killed next week if Stanzi is out. Their backup QB looked horrible today. OSU's front 7 are really impressive. I don't know if their secondary is any good as Clark never threw it more than 5 yards all game
  23. Penn State looked terrible, so what are you going to do? Terrible play calling, zero running game, no one open down field, and terrible special teams. I'll be rooting hard for Iowa next week
  24. I'm nervous as hell about this game. PSU is a very flimsy 8-1 (losing to the only ranked team they've played), so my confidence isn't as high as it should be. Hopefully PSU can contain Pryor's running game and make him throw (he's only a 50% passer his last 4 games and has a nearly 1:1 TD:INT ratio). Interesting (to me) note: After PSU had losing seasons in 4 of 5 years (2000-2004) and everyone was calling for Paterno to hang it up, the team has played .800 football (48-12). I hope he coaches until he's a zombie, and then zombie coaches for another few decades.
