  1. Back in my day, Latinios ain't no allowed. You see, we had a big ol' Spanish American war. And they speak Spanish in those days.
  2. Back in my day, we used to go to the Fukudome to go skip rocks with my chums.
  3. Back in my day, our knickerbockers used to be up above our shanks, fellas.
  4. I don't know how to get screenshots, lol. I'm just taking pictures with my camera, and I'll try to upload it later.
  5. Everything is cool except the camera angles. Grr...
  6. Southwest.com???? What's a .com?? I like the old school Pepsi logo though.
  7. It's a gimmick, but it's kinda cool for a couple innings. I like the retro look with the uniforms, B&W, and graphics.
  8. Haha at Len's clothes. I wonder what Bob's wearing...
  9. "How many brothers fell victim to the streets Rest in peace young..." Ok, I'm done. Sorry I couldn't help it...
  10. This commercial just came on, and it's old, but hilarous http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mi-w4EnnJhM It's about steriods and "what they can do to a guy's body"
  11. The little ESPN ticker updated, and it's now 8-0 Cardinals. I don't even want to check to see how they scored.
  12. Yep,me too. I've been working to this since that homerun in the 8 run Rockies comeback, and he is now one of my favorite Cubs. I can't believe it, but yes.
  13. Anybody know how many games now we've had the bases loaded at one point?
  14. I think they trust Hoffpauir enough to make sure that Ward is completely 100% before he comes back. From what I read now, he basically is at the level he was before the latest injury. His back is ok, but his leg still bothers him, so pretty much the only thing he could do is hit. They are sending him to Arizona to hopefully get his leg better so when he does come back, he's not so limited. This is what Lou had to say about the DH: It looks like the Cubs will face 5 right-handers and 1 left-hander during these first 6 inter-league games (Kazmir being the one left-hander). He didn't mention using the DH to get rest for the one position player that it would benefit most? I'm thinking Lou will DH Soto and use Hank White as a catcher against one of the weaker pitchers. I don't think he trusts Blanco much with his bat, and will use him in a game when we figure to score a lot of runs anyway against a mediocre pitcher.
  15. In his first season with Toronto, Carpenter had 37 BB in 81 IP, which means he allowed a walk in 46% of innings. Gallagher has 13 BB in 36 IP, which means he gave up a walk in 36% of IP. Carpenter did have bad command early on, but got better, just as Sean hopefully will. Gallagher is also having a better year than Carpenter did ERA-wise , with of course less innings pitched. 5.09 vs 4.42.
  16. Well, he has been pretty horrible for about a month now. and Aramis is freakin' awesome. Plus, the Braves are underestimating Soto.

  18. Ok, a sac fly is good. Aramis bomb here, please.
  19. Lol, the Braves defense want to give the Cubs a bigger lead.
  20. I know you're kidding. But I'm actually glad. It goes both ways He's warmed up already, whats another 12 or so pitches? I think appearances is just as important as total innings when looking at a relievers workload. Using him for 1 out kind of pisses me off. If he's only going to be used for one guy, then don't use him at all. Basically they failed to give Marmol a day off and didn't even really benefit from using him. ??? There were 2 on in a 2 run game. They definitely benefited from it. Beat me to it.

I don't think you can say it didn't benefit them. If Lilly or Howry was put in, who knows what the score would be now? Howry was rocked today, and he probably would've given up a couple hits with runners on base.
