All fans of every team do it. It's because most fans are just the casual fan and can't tell the difference between a fly ball and a homerun. They're mostly idiots. it's also not that easy to tell right off the bat if a deep fly will go or not. A ball hit that deep actually is a HR to certain parts of the field.
