  2. The screen turned green. It's a viral Hulk ad!
  3. It's not your TV's fault, it's the metric system. Throwing everything off. Those soap dropping Canucks! We should annex them!
  4. Um, is it just my tv, or is something wrong with today's WGN broadcast?
  5. Great middle infielding that inning, but i guess I'm just nitpicking, because it's still 3-0.
  6. I wouldn't really call that beating up. But it seems that Fontenot is on the receiving end of a lot of crap this year: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/KingJME/zambranofontenotpregame.gif Yeah, I edited it to include quotes. "beat up"
  7. Always great to see Dempster "beat up" Fontenot.
  8. a) who knows if they actually planned that b) the cubs just scored 3 runs with the pitcher in the sun You could also argue that the cubs got to bat one more half inning than the jays with the roof open, who knows how that could affect the game Yeah, I thought a closed dome would help the team on defense. Or maybe I've just watched Soriano lose too many balls in the sun.
  9. I've got two cousins that are Blue Jays fans and have been to the dome many times, and they never told me the dome is retractable :o
  10. ...say what? my ex is a friend of jesse litsch...just makes me grin! ... What? Lol at combining the bolded parts, but yeah, sorry it might make you feel bad.
  11. I just noticed Kosuke has a big bald spot.
  12. The sky is falling on Toronto! Oh, how have thou Canadiens have gained the wrath of the lord!
  13. WTF just happened? The screen just went black and started beeping.
  14. Thas was fast. I now wish that I hadn't used the last word just to see what other excuse they could have come up with. It's funny that you were suspended because you were'nt pc in your wording. But, it's alright for mods to threaten banning based on opinion/conjecture (i.e. the Cubs are a pretty good team). And I'm pretty sure (though can't say for certain), I've seen much worse there. I should have been more careful though. Not really upset though. You can see how much I've used the account by my 28 posts since April of 2005. Sorry for another WS post, but I replied in a similar way, without using any words that could be bannable. Lol, Rangers
  15. Todd Walker vs. the Sox a few years ago. It was too complete the sweep as well. Yep. Sunday night ESPN game and it was a pitchers duel between Rusch and Buehrle That was a walk. Yeah it was. I remember because it was a walk off walk by Walker. I agree. Zambrano wasn't his best, but he still kept us in the game, and our bullpen was amazing. Great win by the Cubs. I think that if Lilly could settle down and be consistant and we get another decent starter, this team is unstoppable. Also loved the amazing game thread, with the attempted 40s lingo, bitching about Lou, and debate about RISP/2 outs. Excellent. been loving NSBB ever since I joined. A lot of the lingo was all over the world and timeline. We had people trying to talk in 40s, 60s, 1500s, pirate speak, medieval, Australian slang, and British dialect. Definitely one of the best game threads in NSBB history. :D
  16. Some results from today Brewers beat the Astros 9-6. Billy Wagner blew another save, and the Dbacks beat Mets 5-4. White Sox lose to Detroit and get swept. Cardinals play at 6 CT today against the Reds
  17. This is definitely one of the best games of the year and won't be forgotten soon. The whole WGN 1948 gimmick (which was kinda cool), the strange decisions by Lou, Edmonds HR, and a walk off HBP by the hit by pitch master, Reed Johnson. Definitely one of the most memorable games.
  18. You asked http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/bnance82/cubssweepsx1.jpg
