  1. http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s102/xagorm429x/308a0bl.gif I have a feeling there'll be some of this stuff tommorow afternoon: http://www.devonlife.co.uk/assets/brand_203/support/images/Champange%20image.jpg Go Cubs!!
  2. what is that growth on his shoulder??? Who knows? The anatomy of extraterrestrial beings is yet to be discovered.
  3. I see that too. Maybe it's a sign. Braun's an alien! I can see the similarities. http://www.richardgalbraith.com.au/Draw_Cartoons/Images_Draw_Cartoons/Angry-Alien-Thumbnail.gif http://www.rotorob.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/Ryan_Braun.jpg
  4. Jinxer. Ban him for attempting to sabotage the team.
  5. Phillies/Dodgers/Brewers and Mets/Dodgers/Brewers would result in us facing the Dodgers. To my understanding, we'd face the wild card, unless it's Milwaukee, in which case we'd face the Dodgers or D-bags.
  6. Telegram from David Eckstein: 2 MUCH GRIT 4 U STOP Fixed Good thing Arizona doesn't look like their making the playoffs, Eckstein is dangerous and gritty. http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:0WKbmONUTD_kkM:http://img.alibaba.com/photo/50614262/SG_Steel_Grit.jpg
  7. Oh yeah, I'm not counting the Marlins, Astros, or Cardinals, and it looks like the Marlins are making a late surge, so err, just ignore them.... Maybe I should adjust this poll, I forgot them, but including every time still mathematically in it would have a whole lot of options.
  8. Assuming the Cubs take the #1 seed, what do you want? We'd face the wild card, or if the WC is the Brewers, the #3 seed, which is almost certainly going to be the NL West winner. I'm sure I left out some options, but I vote Phillies/Dodgers/Mets. I don't want to face the D-Backs or Brewers, even though they've been struggling recently. I think whoever faces the Dodgers will win, but I'd rather face the Phillies in a 7 game series than a 5 game series.
  9. I'll take the World Series. Career ending, I'd think about it, so long as it's not something like he breaks his spine and can't walk or something similar.
  10. 12.75 http://www.northsidebaseball.com/Forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif. Before this game, it was 7.84, however. I'm now 1-1 as a game thread starter. :(
  11. After today's great comeback, the Brewers leave town and in come the Cards. Pitching for St. Louis is this guy: http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/28/284485.jpg (9-3, 3.20) for the Cubs, we have the man, the myth, the legend, Carlos Zambrano: http://a123.g.akamai.net/f/123/12465/1d/media.canada.com/idl/otct/20080915/134144-49149.jpg (14-5, 3.41) The magic number is now at: http://i34.tinypic.com/2lwsvo4.gif Carlos might not get a no hitter today, but I think he's going to get a win. My prediction: Cubs 5, Cards 1. Go Cubs!
  12. I'm back, creating tommorows GT now.
  13. lol Go Cubs! You never know with the Cubs. http://www.northsidebaseball.com/Forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif
  14. For the Cubs, we have this guy (10-2, 2.02 ERA): http://i38.tinypic.com/2096hjn.gif vs this fellow (9-10, 4.24 ERA): http://bp3.blogger.com/_MmuSDlN7GQs/RpwCCjR7rhI/AAAAAAAAANA/7eVbFFaHxCs/s320/Brewers+Block+Party+013.jpg The magic number is still at http://i35.tinypic.com/2v3nbma.jpg But hopefully, after Thursday, it'll be 2. With Harden on the mound, that's a very likely scenario. But the Brewers look like they're back to their pesky selves, so we'll see. So let's be the Phelps to the Brewer's Cavic http://a839.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/49/l_f89b2b60d2d195b4679499ec07437e9e.gif Go Cubs!!
  15. :( I'm here, and creating the new thread.
  16. Whew, I've been following this one on GameDay. Is it finally over :beg: ? Edit - Woohoo!
  17. Two simply amazing games, back to back, and finally a Superstation WGN game. Dempster can also have yet another great game. I love this team. By the way, look who else we play tommorow: http://i35.tinypic.com/24eqqlg.jpg Man, if the Cubs lose (who knows if they will the way they've played recently), I'll have a tough act to follow in the game thread. I'm supposed to start next.
  18. This is a good move for the Brewers, as it had to happen eventually. Now we'll see if the Brewers struggles of the past two weeks were due to Yost or the players. I still think they're going to win the wild card, but we'll see. Hopefully Yost will get a job elsewhere in the NL.
  19. Today is your birthday, too?? It's all of ours birthday. :yahoo: \:D/
  20. This more than makes up for the crappy end to the Bears game earlier today!!! Best birthday gift ever ;) !!
