  1. Was Micah Bowie 99 or 2000? I remember watching a game he started on Sunday night baseball and every time he pitched they would mention he was related to Jim Bowie.
  2. Should go for it here too. Well before that false start.
  3. Going for it is the right call here.
  4. I understand, but I think a 2 game suspension for a 1st time offender in a play that was clearly not intentional would teach well. I think a better solution in this case would be to teach Ben Smith to make a play with his head up. If he would have had his head up he would have got hit in the face instead of the side of the head.
  5. Isn't that second picture (and possibly the first one too) after the ball already bounced off his hands? Rendering the entire conversation moot.
  6. Link or explanation as to why you're saying this? http://www.suntimes.com/sports/7950802-419/cubs-will-make-run-at-theo-epstein-for-gm.html
  7. Gordon WIttenmeyer seems to think that Theo to the Cubs could happen any day now, so I guess we can cross him off the list.
  8. Friedman-Francona it is then.
  9. Yes, please god.
  10. I was hoping he would trip and fall as he touched first. BTW that was pathetic announcing.
  11. The same reason I watch any documentary about something that interests me. The Cubs interest me. Baseball interests me. Baseball history interests me. This isn't Ken Burns baseball. You lived through it. I was alive when they fixed the Hubble telescope, when Jordan played AA baseball, and when 9/11 happened. Should I not watch documentaries about those things? You think those are comparable situations. Agreed, this was way worse than all of those. Except Jordan trying to play baseball.
  12. Please God anything to get ISU in the BigEast/CUSA
  13. Is it just me or could Castro have beaten that out had he not slowed down?
  14. Someone bet you $100 dollars that the Sox would finish with 10 more wins than the Cubs? I'm not sure I've ever lost a bet with this guy. Worried yet?
  15. Good luck, packers fans are the cardinals fans of the NFL. Best fans in the league, just ask them.
  16. Hmm, well I didn't read it as him being upset about getting moved around all season as much as being upset about having to hit so low in the lineup. Specifically: Either way, it's pretty petty to complain about being moved around from 6th to 7th in the lineup, when there is no significant difference between the 2 spots(he actually hit significantly better in the 7th spot than any other and also got more at bats at 7th than anywhere else, for what it's worth).
  17. I don't have a problem with him giving his opinion, it's just that it's a stupid opinion.
  18. You couldn't pay me to go through that again. Stay far far away.
  19. So would their respective team missing the playoffs this season help our chances more with Friedman or Epstein? I just want to know who to root for.
  20. Wow, good thing he wasn't D-I or this would really suck.
  21. There is a silver lining in every tragedy, and I think we can take solace in the fact that someone's Chris Henry rookie card gained some serious value today.
  22. I'm just glad he isn't (wasn't?) good enough for this to have a negative effect on Roast's fantasy team.
  23. My thoughts and prayers are with himi and his family. Hopefully with the help of the good lord on our side we can pull together to get through this terrible tragedy that has striken such a great american hero.
