  1. also, i don't know whether he will play next year or not now, but he absolutely would have before the SI story
  2. why not? Because he likely won't play another NBA game in his career and wouldn't really be the first openly gay athlete in history to play in a major sport? That's unless we're counting the past 8 or so years as him playing which wouldn't be accurate. I'll take back that statement if he goes on to play in the NBA. why do you keep saying this?
  3. hahahahaha
  4. I've been very patient with Theo & Co throughout their process and I've always been okay with 2012 and 2013 as "tanked" seasons, from the beginning. However, if they can't come up with a competent major league team in 2014, that seems like a big failure. At the same time, (pulling a WSR) what exact moves do the anti-tanking brigade wish we would have made that could have significantly improved our 2013 or 2014 forecast? I could be wrong, but I seem to recall similar amounts of support for Wilson and Darvish during that offseason on here. I will concede that Cespedes seems like a mistake at this point, but given the knowledge at the time, I'm not that upset by it. I mean obviously the 2013 team is nowhere the product that we were hoping for when Theo was hired, but I have a hard time finding a realistic plan/team that would have been significantly better without the benefit of hindsight.
  5. Falcons take Gavin Escobar
  6. Buccaneers are going to double down on CBs and take Jordan Poyer CB out of Oregon State
  7. props to Soler, that's awesome
  8. Same thing here... The Falcons take Sam Montgomery DE out of LSU (the real Falcons will probably not do this)
  9. Tampa Bay takes Blidi Wreh-Wilson, CB, Connecticut
  10. Atlanta is definitely going CB here to try to replace Brent Grimes and Dunta Robinson Came down to either Blidi Wreh-wilson, Jamar Taylor, or Johnthan Banks (note: does he really spell it like that?). Falcons take Johnthan Banks CB from Mississippi State.
  11. Barkevious Mingo DE from LSU
  12. NC State's Lorenzo Brown and CJ Leslie are going pro
  13. they could not look more [expletive] miserable
  14. you can have the 49ers... i'll take the bucs
  15. I'll fill in for the Bum and double up with the 49ers
  16. Wichita State gets left out, Virginia gets in. Miami gets a 1 seed
  17. Still better than Lunardi. Or maybe that's why he sucks so much. Well, yeah. I still think the last 4/5 in should be decided on Saturday or Sunday, not Friday.
  18. Think any SEC team left has to win the tournament to get a bid..
  19. I'd put UMass, Maryland, Iowa, Kentucky, Baylor, Middle Tennessee, and Tennessee in the same group. Probably St. Mary's as well. In my opinion, should be another vote today and tomorrow. EDIT: kinda drunk tho
  20. I think Maryland should be moved back into the conversation. Still think Duke should be a #1.
  21. Then I'm confused, because I don't see them in your current top 16, which is where I think they should be. why
  22. I actually like ISU's resume, in comparison to the bubble. 4 wins over certain tournament teams + sweep of Baylor + two 100+ losses. I certainly think that compares well to a team like Kentucky that has 2 wins over certain tournament teams + one 100+ loss + 4 more lossses to teams not likely to make the tournament. or La Salle with three wins over tournament teams and losses to Charlotte, Xavier, UMass, and Central Connecticut State.
