  1. It's hard to beat a team that can run over another team. I can understand emphasizing refs when it's a close and evenly played game, but to do so when GB is wiping the floor with the Bears to almost ignore how bad the Bears have been is another. The refs have been awful, but the Bears have been worse. True. The Bears have been terrible vs the run so far, but they are playing two deep safeties so this is to be expected somewhat. If that holding call on Driver is properly made, odds are GB settles for a FG and this is a much closer game.
  2. Yeah, the coachign staff has been pretty bad today. But it is hard to beat both another team and the officials. Just a brutal first half. Let's see what did I miss 1) The B.S hodling call on Rashied Davis. 2) The out of bounds overturn on Forte. 3) The PI call on Tillman 4) The non-call on Driver that sprung Grant for that huge run.
  3. Rose has a had a statisically better season vs. Mayo.
  4. nice blatent hold by Driver there, with no call. These officials are brutal.
  5. wow, Larry Hughes was actually somewhat of a valuable contributor tonight.
  6. While I appreciate the optimism, I'm not quite sure what this is based on other than pure hope? The Lions have a putrid Oline and we let Orlovski(sp?, who caers..the other white guy who sucks at QB) have all day to throw the ball. We haven't generated a pass rush against statues such as Brian Griese, Gus Frerrote, and Kerry Collins. Now we go against a QB Rogers who can really move around in the pocket? It is going to be quick slants to Jennings and Driver all day. Rex will be better, and by better I mean stashed away on the bench. The only thing we have going for us is Orton starting and some crazy hex Lovie has on Green Bay.
  7. I'm guessing the Padres are under the false impression that Felix Pie is actually a solid prospect. Sell high Jim.
  8. I love how you not only have a man who has a passion for both baseball and a team that he loves, but the cash to back it up. And his dream is denied by a low life piece of crap that wants to setup a fellow croanie of his. Selig is a plague on baseball and hummanity and I can't way till the day comes when I can dance all over his grave.
  9. wow, Cleveland shoud have sold high on Derek Anderson this offseason.
  10. holy crap! Carl Winslow is back!
  11. damn it, I thought I could pick up Quinn without having to go through waivers since it is Thursday. :(
  12. Probably. They probably shoulda had one on the practice squad before the injury, though. On the off chance that both Grossman and Hanie get hurt next week, it will be just as easy to bring in a guy like Chris Simms on Monday and give him a full week in the offense. If they both get hurt a couple weeks down the line, and they are worse off than Orton, just bring Orton back at less than 100%. Chris Simms is on the Titans active roster. If the Bears lose this game and Grossman is poor, Orton will be back by the Packers game.
  13. Why did we pay Deng 70 million again? What value does he bring?
  14. my god, Derrick Rose...thank you.
  15. Seriously, I have a great offensive philosophy the Bulls should adopt: Give the ball to Derrick Rose and get out of his way.
  16. why in the hell is Rose not starting tonight? god, I hate VDN already.
  17. They need a pass rusher in the worst way. Alex Brown/Ogun are solid, but not the type of devasting pass rushers in the Simeon Rice mold(in his hayday). And it seems like Mark Anderson's rookie year was pretty much a fluke. On top of that we don't have any LB's that excel at the blitz. I'd love to see the Bears get a SAM type linebacker that can really rush the passer.
  18. wow http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tabSeq=0&statisticCategory=PASSING&conference=null&season=2008&seasonType=REG&d-447263-s=PASSING_YARDS&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-n=1 Also, look at that list and think off all the offensive weapons those QB's have, and then look at what Orton is working with.(although Olsen is emerging as one of the best pass catching TE's in the game). Simply amazing.
  19. Orton is legit. I think we may have our QB for the long term here.
  20. Possibly, but then again this isn't like you are asking a backup to shut down a receiver completly. You are asking him to defend a very, very, small portion of the field. That play should not have happened regardless of the personal. It was a complelty brain fart.
