Probably the career .292/.375/.506 minor league numbers. He's been jacked around by the Nats, so I don't know that his major league numbers are indicative of his talent level. Or maybe its harder in the Major Leagues?

My cousin, who lives in Detroit, just heard on sports talk radio there that the trade is done. I still haven't seen an official link though. Pitt people have been saying the Izturis deal was done in order to facilitate moving Wilson, and while I applaud them for moving on from Wilson, I don't understand why they thought they need another ineffective expensive SS to make it work. Because they won't have to deal with Izturis after this year. -
See, this why people shouldn't get so worked up if the Cubs don't do anything. I just don't think there is a lot out there right now.

they just lost to the hottest team in baseball over the last ten games, to one of the best left handed pitchers in the game. such a child mentality sometimes in this game thread. they lose=end of the season. People have passion for this team. They wanted to see the Cubs in 1st place, and the Cubs put up a crappy showing. Yeah, there's a lot of childish stuff in this thread, but it's a gamethread. People write about their anger as the game goes on. You can have passion and perspective at the same time though. The Cubs are 1GB, losing that half game is hardly the end of the world.

It might just be flukish but Marquis has owned Rollins in his career. He is 3/28, all singles for a .107 batting average.
