    Mackanin on press conference: Sarcastically says he;s happy for the fans, a pretty funny moment. Said he's not very happy. Said he didn't walk the bases loaded to give the pitcher some leeway with his pitches. Doesn't want to load the bases if he doesn't have to. Thinks the umpires are wrong. Manager must go directly to umpire and not cross line. Umpire said he could do that but Mackanin told him he thought he was wrong. Said Lou was wasting time to get his pitcher some time to warm up. Thought the umpires disregarded the rule.

    The OF coming in facing the play has priority, he could tell Theriot was struggling. Simply call him off and make the play.

    There is blame for sure. But if theriot is backtracking several steps, and Soriano is just standing there, why dones't he call him off and make the catch?

    Definitely possible. Yeah the Reds protest a game that means nothing to them, in which they have gotten the benefit of the doubt on several calls. Meanwhile the Astros called to ask me if I could pitch against the Brewers. Seems on the level to me. You honestly think the Astros are trying to lose don't you?

    I find it hysterical that the Reds have gotten the benefit of every single close and blown call tonight, and have the gall to protest. I'd hope the Cubs would do the same thing. It sucks, but its legit.

    Err, what happens if the Cubs win? Well, conceivably could be overrturned.
