    About what I expected. As much as people want to label me a Hill hater, I just never bought the hype that he would be a dominant starter like he should the second half of last year. I think he can be a quality Low #2-High # 3. When his command is off his FB isn't enough to get by. I wish he had a better 3rd pitch, changeup.

    I keep thinking Monroe is going to get his first HR as a Cub. Maybe it comes today.

    Son of a..... If he'd be pitching in long relief if the game is decided, sure. If he's starting, Lou needs a kick in the butt. If things keep going like they are going, Thursday might not be all that important.

    If you're a righty, that's still impressive. Of course I got an infield single off Ricky Nolasco. In a playoff game. Lefty. Wasn't enough though, his team beat ours in the Semi-state. He wasn't the only draftee on his team.

    You were very critical about Marquis not too long ago and quite confident he would end up with an ERA in the 5.00 range. Are you attributing his season to luck? Just curious if your thoughts on him have changed at all.

    Cubs pitchers take the opposing pitchers to 3-2 counts more than any team I have ever seen.

    Yep, the Reds only try against the Cubs. Also, the Astros try to lose against Milwaukee. The blame should be on the Cubs if they can't beat the Reds in a pennant race in September. Nobody is going to just let them win.
