  1. Good start. Stanzi looks good so far and the passing game is setting up Greene.
  2. So close :banghead: Seriously though, if we get a post guy who can do anything we will win some games next year.
  3. Fixed. uh uh, SE. Missouri State didn't stand a chance.
  4. NW has been able to move the ball very effectively.
  5. well coached, super smart rich ass white kids. even worse. Now you know how we feel seeing as Iowa loses to NW a lot more than they should. Pat Fitzgerald does a great job with what he's got, and if he can keep good skill players in his offensive scheme, they'll be a good team more often than not I agree. He's a very good coach.

  7. If Iowa plays like they did vs Drake and Western Illinois they aren't winning 8 games.

    NFL Week 17

If anyone would ever make that it's Crosby.
  9. The Blackhawks are good, really good. I went to the game last night, the UC was packed and loud and the Hawks really fed off the energy. If it weren't for Biron they would have scored 8-9 goals. The drive home sucked though, that entire state of Illinois between Bettendorf and Chicago was covered in the thickest fog I've ever seen.
  10. I thought that goal could have been called either way. It probably was a no goal but it was close. The unfortunate thing is, the NHL is incredibly unpopular and they need to market something. Right now they are trying to market someone to be the next Gretsky (that seem to make hockey more mainstream). Unfortunately in doing this Crosby is going to get away with more. If it draws more people to watch then I guess it's worth it, although it is annoying to watch.
  11. I'm absolutely shocked that the Packers blew a game in the 4th qtr. That's the first time we've seen that all year..ugh. Don't be surprised when the Lions get their first win next week.
  12. With MNF vs. Green Bay upon us, I'm reminded of Halloween Night 1994, when GB absolutely murdered the Bears at Soldier Field. I was 15 and so excited to go to that game. It rained like hell all night. They retired Butkus' and Sayers' number at halftime and the place was mostly empty due to the rain and the drubbing on the field. Final score, I still remember, was 33-6. What I didn't remember and just had to look up was that Favre finished that game 6-15 for 82 yards. Of course, 223 rushing yards didn't hurt. I remember everything about that game, including the rain, and I was only 11. I also remember the MNF drubbing by the Packers in Champaign in 2002, the year after we made the playoffs and everyone assumed we would be good again. Then the next drubbing to open the new Soldier Field in 2003. Packers + MNF = Bad results. Let's change that tonight. Those games were fun. :D
  13. Packers fans respect the Bears because they have a tradition. Vikings fans have none but they talk like they are good. Because of this they are annoying.
  14. Adam Dunn's not clutch and he smells like cottage cheese.
  15. The Vikings have blown much easier chances.
  16. It will be even sweeter when the Bears shut up the cheeseheads and the fairweathered fans that grew up in Chicago and inexplicably decided to root for the Packers just because the Bears had a couple of down years :) Not really, it's a win-win for me as far as I'm concerned. If we win, we eliminate the Bears from playoff contention. If we lose, it just helps our draft pick out and the Vikings should still win the division next week anyway. I would rather have the Bears win the division then the Vikings. I hate the Vikings more than anything. I personally don't mind the Bears, that has a lot to do with the fact that I am only 22 and live in Iowa.
  17. i've seen that break too many times while watching football. It makes me wonder why one would want to play the game.
  18. I wish Iowa basketball wasn't one of my top 3 favorites sports teams. They really piss me off sometimes (I know they aren't supposed to be good this year but losing to Drake really, really irritates me.)
  19. Drake is beating Iowa by 14 at half. I know Drake was really good last year but this is really annoying. They used to be a cupcake.
  20. Iowa is looking like they were supposed to coming into the year against Drake. They are looking awful so far.
  21. I wish the games that I am able to watch would be on a channel that I have. These guys are really good and I've been impressed thus far. I am going to the game a week from tonight and I am excited. I think the Hawks are going to catch the Wings.
  22. Iowa lost to ISU a few years back and then went to the Orange Bowl and I was pretty happy. Of course that lost might have cost Iowa a shot at the National Championship. Iowa/ISU isn't as heated as the major rivaries though. Mostly because ISU is awful.
  23. The other bad part about the pitch is if you don't have it down, it is easy to hit the crap out of. You can get away with a less than perfect fastball or curveball but if your knuckleball blows than it's like hitting a softball.
  24. The knuckleball is the best thing in sports.
