  1. I've loved watching Milton on these walk offs the past few wins. He has so much fun. I thought he didn't care and was the worst human being ever.
  2. I'm starting to hear a pulse.....
  3. WTH WAS THAT!!!!!!! 3 out of the last 4 games have been walk off wins including two huge comebacks. Could things be turning?
  4. I don't even remember how this game ended. I just remember Geo's blast.
  5. I think last year had a bunch of people's top five ever. This one and the Rockies game were epic. I don't think any game will ever top the Mongo Game in the past 10 years, though. That was probably the craziest game I've ever seen. I'd also throw the 2004 11-10 victory over the Reds in 2004 that ended with Sosa and Alou going back to back into the pile. Yeah, the Mongo game was my favorite Cubs game memory I think. There were a few games in against the Brewers in 98 that I remember. That 2004 Reds game I went to sleep because the Cubs were down by 5 and I thought they were going to lose.
  6. I think last year had a bunch of people's top five ever. This one and the Rockies game were epic.
  7. Remember Braun had no errors last year.
  8. Knowing what I know about the history of baseball I just can't get outraged at guys who used steroids.
  9. And if nothing else, him falling asleep in the dugout fits quite perfectly with the Nationals theme of ineptness this year.
  10. If Sammy didn't do 'roids then I'm not a Cubs fan. I think this is the reason that I hate him. Had he not given me 1998 I would still be a Yankees fan like my dad raised me to be in the first place.
  11. I don't watch too many Sox games but Hawk's reaction to them beating Milawaukee on Sunday was pretty funny.
  12. I went to a Packers game by my self once. I don't have any Packer fan friends and no one I knew would justify paying for a ticket to see a team they didn't like. It sucked too, for some reason I saw them play the Patriots and they lost 42-0.
  13. You don't like people getting excited about baseball games in June? No, I do, that statement was pretty tongue in cheek. When the atmosphere is cranked up, I get more intense and then only bad things come from that really.
  14. So do I. I can't stand these games against the White Sox. I wish they'd do away with Interleague play. I wish they'd do it similar to the NFL, one division per year, set schedule. None of these stupid "rivalry" series. I also kind of wish both leagues were balanced with 15 teams each, with an interleague series going on at all times. It's just not a fair set up. Our rivalry series is always a lot tougher then the Cardinals one. I just don't like playoff atmosphere for what amounts to one of the most "meaningless" series of the year. I also hate White Sox fans and their irrational Cubs hatred.
  15. As a casual really young fan I saw the bulls and Packers win titles. I wasn't a big Bulls fan until the early 2000's (yeah, I know. Weird time to pick them) and I didn't really get into the NFL until 98' when I was ten. So as a hard core fan of the Bulls, Blackhawks, Cubs, Hawkeyes, and Packers I've seen zero championships. I did however see a minor league hockey dynasty so that should count for something.
  16. I hate these types of threads. What's the point of bragging in retrospect? Do you brag about all the predictions you've been wrong about in the past?
  17. I really hate Cubs vs White Sox games. I just hope we win 2 of 3 and move on to the next part of the season.
  18. I like the sappy Cubs fan stuff but it does get old after a while. I also can't watch/read stuff like this until we win the title. Of course, I'm too lazy to watch the trailer and I am going to sound like an idiot if it isn't a sappy Cubs fan movie.
  19. Unfortunately it's because the division has been fairly mediocre.
  20. The fact that that is our good luck charm is proof that God is no Cubs fan.
  21. So if we go on a winning streak how many people will say it's because "we made a change" and not because it will probably coincidental. That and the next 6 games we are playing teams that aren't that good.
