  1. I don't really care too much about this but the first thing that came to my mind is that there are people in need of clothes out there that you could donate to or something of that nature.
  2. It seems like Thomas' body is square to the puck on every Vancouver shot no matter how good of a chance they get. EDIT: They would score right after I posted that.
  3. More Vancouver diving on that last scrum by Thomas.
  4. This is a pretty damn intense game.
  5. The last two posts sum up how I feel as well. Ellis is a damn good scorer but Deng is too valuable of a player, especially defensively to lose him unless you know you will get someone else eventually. Unless Thibs has some magical powers and can make Ellis decent on the defensive end it's a trade I wouldn't do. I could easily live with losing Noah for Ellis though.
  6. Another question, can a basketball player be considered the best ever without winning a ring?
  7. I have to ask, since this is a baseball site with people who have incredible understanding of statistics, is it fair to use championships as an indicator of success in basketball. If LeBron puts up great stats his whole career but never wins a title can we still put him up in the list of greatest ever? The reason I ask this is because I feel like more statistical savvy people and the meat heads both have it right when it comes to basketball and I am trying to draw the line between statistical success in a very team oriented sport like basketball, and team success. (If this makes no sense I apologize. I've been drinking.)
  8. Yay Cubs. Part of me is holding out hope that we can get within striking distance before All-Star break (I have nothing better to do this summer) and most of me is hoping for the fecal league title. It makes for very, very stress free games as each on is a win-win.
  9. Getting stopped by an old Jason Kidd in crunch time sure isn't the best way to become the best ever. On the flip side I really think LeBron will have two more great games and the Heat win this series.
  10. It feels like the NBA has the most bandwagon fans of any sports. It's very annoying.
  11. I'm officially rooting for the top draft pick so go other teams.
  12. I have yet to figure out why the Lakers fans hate the Heat so much. Never played Wade or Lebron in a Finals. Handed Shaq in the prime of his career which led to a dynasty. After that, handed Gasol in his prime which lead to another. Loaded their team up with Payton, Malone, Shaq and Kobe one year. Is it because Lebron is seen as some threat to Kobe being the best player or what? Or is it because the Heat are doing what the Lakers have been doing for the past decade? The entire league pretty much hates the Heat.
  13. I stopped paying attention when it was about an 11 point Heat lead and turned back when it was tied. That was awesome. I was cheering like it was a Bulls game.
  14. I just want the off season to start honestly.
  15. We are technically still in this race so winning some games would be nice.
  16. Looking at the schedules, we play Houston and Pittsburgh while the Cardinals have some tough games. I could see the Cubs being about 3 or 4 games out going into the Cardinals series next weekend, giving us some false hope. However once the Cardinals series starts our schedule is kind of a bitch.
  17. Exactly. Listen to the post-game radio tonight and you'll hear tons of callers talking like he's peaked and how he's a "choker" and blah-blah-blah. This is what players and teams have to go through until they finally punch through. It sucks, but that's the NBA. The future still looks VERY bright for the Bulls. This awesome season was just the start. I want to get upset at him but when I take a step back and realize that very few players have had seasons like his at his age. If he improves like most players improve, Rose is going to be an amazing, amazing player in this league and you will think that will translate to the playoffs more consistently sooner than later.
  18. I hate that we destroyed them in game one and then didn't win again. Of course, at least our last win of the year was a blow out of Miami so that's something.
  19. That sucked. Great season though all things considered, I would have taken this finish in a heartbeat to start the year. Please no lockout because I'm going to be bored for a while if there is one.
  20. Embarrassing final possession.
  21. Rose looks 22. Hopefully he learns from these playoffs and comes back strong, he probably will.
  22. And there's the kick in the balls. I hope there is no lockout.
  23. I'm pretty sure Taj got pulled down under the basket by the way.
  24. Holy [expletive], this got depressing fast.
