  1. Michael Floyd is pretty good.
  2. Because meatball Michigan fans said Lloyd Carr's offense was old fashioned and not explosive enough, so Michigan hired a coach to run the spread. And after 3 years of that, the fans now demanded to go back to a normal offense like Michigan has been known for. I bet the fans calling for Carr's head after the App State game didn't realize how much worse it could get. Oh well, at least UM's uniforms are still badass. Michigan really was a defense away from being really good under Rich Rod. Notre Dame sure likes to choke.
  3. The odds aren't good of doing it again if key players go down.
  4. Not a fun day to be a Hawkeye. Once again the defense can't make a stop when needed but I don't have too many expectations for this team so it is what it is. I can't wait until Iowa State is in Conference USA or whatever next year. This after former safety Brett Greenwood, who went to my high school by the way, collapsed and had an apparent heart attack yesterday.
  5. Don't forget that brutal touchback call. Saints should have started on their own 1 for that last drive. The way they described it on TD that was the right call. So sliding is allowed when you're trying to down a ball? How does that make sense? I'm not sure but since in the NFL, if you are on offense, you aren't down if you aren't touched. Plus if you illegally touch the ball and it bounces behind you, the ball is spotted where it goes behind you, not where you touched it so it makes sense to me. It's a moot point now though.

  7. Uhhh...neither defense looked like the best in the NFC, that's for sure. Certainly the Saints didn't make a very good case for their defense. Of that much, there can be no argument. Once again though, it's hard to judge the defenses when two of the best QB's in the game are involved.
  8. We won't play Drew Brees every week either.
  9. Those two could easily be the best in the NFC. At the very least tonight did little to indicate they weren't.
  10. Basically have to keep them out of the end zone twice since they have to go for two.
  11. Now I'm a tad concerned.
  12. Should I be worried about the D or are the Saints going to be awesome on offense again? (I leaning towards the second one.)
  13. Has he even been on the field?
  14. 2nd Saints TO. That could be huge.
  15. It's nice to see Green Bay converting on short yardage situations on the ground. Definitely didn't have that last year.
  16. He should have. Suspension probably?
  17. Too bad they can't cover kicks.
  18. I covered him when he played in high school. Weird and cool to now see him in the NFL. How'd you do? I thought he meant he wrote about him. If that's what he meant, then I was wondering how his prose was :)
  19. HOLY [expletive]!!!!!!!

  21. Brees is pretty good.
  22. Ugh, reminds me of when everyone crowned them Super Bowl Champs at the end of pre-season two years ago.
  23. There's no reason they should be bad. I fear that they aren't bad, which means the Packers are really just that damn good. Packers are sure clicking tonight but you can't judge a Saints D by their performance against a top offense that has been on top of their game. Oh, and the Bears defense has the Packers number so I wouldn't be too concerned about slowing them down. Really? Seeing this shouldn't give a Bear fan pause at all? No, Green Bay looked brilliant against the Eagles and Falcons and aside from the first couple of drives (which was probably the difference in the NFC Title Game) the Packers did nothing against the Bears. I expect nothing less than a physical, low scoring, close game when the two teams meet. It is also the first half against a good team that can still win this game.

  25. yeah, why the hell did they change it in the first place? "big hits" haha Yeah, this touchback [expletive] sucks.
