  1. The Hawks look a lot looser than them.
  2. This game isn't much fun. I want to fast forward to when Rose has played a few games and is back in rhythm.
  3. Some random Cubs vs Mets game in which the Cubs won on a Grace sac fly walk off. I really don't remember any of it though my dad saved the box score at home.
  4. We've looked like crap when Lebron and Wade have been in but it's probably more because that is also when Rose plays and he's done nothing.
  5. If he'd never talk about Boston, I like hearing him talk about the NBA. Too bad Boston is one of the most successful franchises in the league's history and are in a big market so they are tough to avoid even if he wasn't a big time fan.
  6. I think he's referring to just seeing the home runs while they happen weather it be on TV or at the game. That said, I have seen a lot of games in my life and I know there are plenty of players I haven't seen homer. Players that come to mind are Rey Ordonez, Rey Sanchez, Tony Campana (though he only has one and it was an inside the parker) and Paul Bako. I'm sure there are more weak hitting players who haven't done it much that I could think of.
  7. The Blackhawks built a nice little rivalry with Vancouver the last few years thus I hate them. I hope they play them again because they have all been fun series.
  8. Yeah I agree with that. Though I didn't hate the Blues like I do the Canucks. Maybe I was just too young and didn't hate Brett because his name was Hull. When I was a kid I had three teams I liked, the Blackhawks, Blues and Sabres (and since I was a kid it was a casual following of all three) It wasn't until after the lockout when I was able to focus my attention on one team. Because I liked the Blues and Sabres I went through a stretch where I love Hull at one point and then hated him because of his goal for Dallas vs Buffalo in the finals. I still can't muster up too much hate for the Blues though even though I probably should.
  9. 1-5 to start the year sucks but I'm sure pretty much all playoff teams in the history of the game have had a 6 game stretch in which they only won 1 game. I'm not saying they're a playoff team at all but it happens. It does suck that they had a chance to win every game so far aside from last night really but just can't do it. Turn that around and this can easily still be a decent season.
  10. Vancouver reminds me of the Blues before their downfall.
  11. I'll be there as well. My first night game. Picked a good night for it.
  12. Of course I see the difference. You hired someone who you know is going to push buttons and you wanted the publicity that comes with it but when he pushes the wrong ones you get pissed. I just don't agree with it.
  13. It is? Someone like Miami who is looking for publicity? Yes.
  14. They are suspending him apparently. It's weird to me though because part of the reason you hire Ozzie is because he says stupid things and then you punish him for doing so.
  15. That really sucks that the Bulls likely won't be healthy in the playoffs.
  16. I always wondered what it was like to have a slugging 1st base prospect that wasn't pushing 30. I hope Bour can continue to have some good seasons and Vogebach can fulfill his power potential. That would give us some first base depth in the minors that I don't think I remember the Cubs ever having.
  17. Yep, I'm committed to watching this rebuild to the bitter end of this season as well. I hope there is some payoff to that because these losses have been brutal so far. It's only 4 games in though.
  18. Heartbreak number 3. At least we aren't getting blown out I guess.
  19. A DeJesus walk off would make me poo.
  20. Our biggest inning of the season to tie or take the lead would be great.
  21. That was an "I want to go home" strike three call by the ump.
  22. Part of me still wants to believe that we can be like last year's Pirates through July (not that good but really lucky) and then add Rizzo and Jackson and just start to roll. That's what I've been pinning my hopes on since we knew that we were rebuilding.
