Right with you...almost posted that he's the reason I can't hate LaHair being the 1B right now. The guy is terrible. He's actually had some good years but he seems like he just has a terrible approach to hitting. He seems like a lefty version of Soriano where he can look a lot worse than he really is.

Can't really complain about patience when he does that. Yes you can, patience isn't just about taking balls. It's about running up the opposing pitchers' pitch count. Getting yourself out in a hurry against a guy who had TJS not too long ago and is probably going to be monitored for workloads just isn't a great idea. I agree to an extent but if you fall behind 0-2, 1-2 to a guy like Strasburg your going to strike out and give up precious outs. If you swing at strikes you could get a hit.
