  1. Rooting for the Giants, but the Pats will win.
  2. Since JeffH has already noted the flaw in your Walter Johnson comparison, I'll correct this one. Bedard is not younger than Hill; Bedard is one year, six days older. Hill is a cheaper, younger Bedard. Trading him for Bedard is pointless.
  3. Third time's a charm. Woo! Now I have someone to actually root for in the Super Bowl.
  4. He probably already killed him.
  5. Crap, Packs win the toss.
  6. Oh for the love of...
  7. Cue the "Green Bay shuts down on Sunday, you couldn't get a contractor right now" joke Needed to get the point across, didn't you?
  8. The winner of this game will lose to the Patriots anyway. I know, but I can at least root for the Giants.
  9. I really don't want the Packers to win this game.
  10. That was an absurd sequence of events
  11. I'd watch out for the Royals. I think this move puts them over the top.
  12. I did. There are a few guys we drafted and didn't sign and have become decent on another team, or at least killed us when they played us. Micah Owings comes to mind.
  13. Cedeno, Murton, and another prospect for Greene.
  14. Let's hope he goes that route.
  15. I never wanted to part with both him and Marshall in a trade. This makes me not want that even more.
  16. Ugh. Lou plans to hit Theriot 2nd. Is Dusty back? I expect he'll be the starting shortstop barring an amazing spring by Cedeno/ another trade.
  17. Hype surrounding Octavio Dotel. Who knew? I think he's living off of reputation. He didn't have a particularly dominating year in 2007 (outside of his ability to strikeout hitters). His hits allowed and WHIP weren't impressive at all. He would benefit more by returning to the NL with a good defensive team. Teams probably look at his numbers a few years ago, and hope he can reach those again if fully healthy.
  18. I feel the same. He's nice insurance for an injury, and if he can hit well at AAA this season, he could be a valuable call-up/ trade piece.
  19. Heck no! You crazy? Now we can trade Hill for another free swinger and move Dempster up to the 3. After reading your post all I could think of is Hendry dressed like Austin Powers, walking down a street looking for free swingers. And now I'm thinking that. Thanks.
