  1. My list: C- Crash Davis in Bull Durham 1B- Lou Collins in Litle Big League 2B and SS- The guys from Rookie of they Year, Angels in the Outfield and Bull Durham for a tie 3B- Roger Dorn in Major League OF- Roy Hobbs in the Natural OF- Willie Mays Hays in Major League OF- Mitchell from Angels in the Outfield SP- Chet Steadman in Rookie of the Year SP- Billy Chapel in For Love of the Game RP- The Duke in Major League RP- Henry Rowengartner in Rookie of the Year Man, that is not a great list. Most of those guys are players past their prime getting one more chance (Hobbs, Chapel, Steadman, Collins) and Davis is an old career minor leaguer.
  2. What I was getting at in my two trade posts was not that I was contradicting myself, but showing that Hendry is neither terrible, nor great. For every good move he makes, there's a bad one and vice versa. He's an average GM who should do better with a high payroll and crappy division.
  3. Was Analyze That the last movie he was in? i can't think of any acting he's done recently.
  4. Sergio Mitre, Ricky Nolasco, and Renyel Pinto for Juan Pierre That is all.
  5. I thought that was a pretty good list and agreed with most of it.
  6. Is it just me, or was the lighting for these way too bright?
  7. Dusty told them to send him to the minors and trade him for Brandon Phillips.
  8. I am not looking foward to our shortstop situation this season.
  9. If that's true, then I'd be content with that depending on the prospect.
  10. Aramis Ramirez and Kenny Lofton for Jose Hernandez, Bobby Hill, and Matt Bruback Todd Hundley and Chad Hermanson for Eric Karros and Mark Grudzielanek That is all.
  11. I'm taking a nap. Wake me when this trade happens. Or just don't wake me. Same difference.
  12. It will happen on April 1 and we'll think it's some twisted joke until he appears in the lineup.
  13. I've seen this issue before and I was wondering the same thing. Now I know.
  14. I'm not really surprised by that. Wasn't that the case all along?
  15. I own the 2001 copy. I go back and check it for a laugh once in awhile, to see the Cub prospects and prospects on other teams who exploded or imploded. At last count, only about 5 guys were still with the Cubs from their top 30 list that year.
  16. 4 goals, that's a season high right? Nah, they scored 6 once. But 4 is still shocking. I thought we'd just win every game 2-1. Have you been to the Prudential Center yet? Or did Barry Melrose scare you away? I'm like 15 minutes away from it and I might be going soon. Freaking Blackhawks are doing just enough to keep faint hopes alive without actually making up any ground. But I think it can be good for a young team like this to play well down the stretch, even if all it does is mess up their draft status. I've been at college, so I haven't had the chance yet. But I''ll get there by the end of the season or next season, hopefully. I've heard good things.
  17. I don't know about that Jones guy. He didn't hit well last year.

  19. http://bokertov.typepad.com/btb/images/charlie_brown_lucy_football_1.jpg That's how I feel.
