  1. Since when do the Marlins actually keep their players?
  2. i already did that one Would help if I read the other posts huh?
  3. His GRIT is so overwhelming it makes him too GRITty to steal a base and he just gets thrown out.
  4. Bonds in the middle of the order would be sweet and probably gives us the best offense in baseball. However, the media frenzy would be crazy and there would be negative publicity. I'd be for it if he'd sign cheap and it meant a better chance at us winning it all. However, I agree that it's highly unlikely he signs for less than 10 mil.
  5. Last night I was eating in the dining commons and unfortunately Around the Horn was on. They were debating if he would actually get a no hitter this year because of how close he's gotten. I almost punched the TV.
  6. For rookie of the decade! ROHOU Rookie of the History of the Universe
  7. Soriano's. If he sucks, other guys on the team can step up. If Zito sucks, the offense better score A LOT of runs.
  8. True, but I'm just saying I don't mind it. If they had selected Wieters I'd be happy, but I'm not making a big deal out of this pick like the Vitters-haters. That is until he gives me reason to do so, which I don't think he will.
  9. I can't say that I hate him, but I sure wish we had gone in a different direction with the pick. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=Matt%20Wieters&pos=C&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=446308 http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=Rick%20Porcello&pos=P&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=519144 Eh, Soto's worked out nicely and we have Donaldson, so I don't mind skipping over Wieters. Vitters hasn't failed yet. Give him time.
  10. Seems plausible. I don't think he was gonna get many more chances after this season anyway. He probably just said, "Screw it all, I'm going out in a blaze of glory."
  11. I'm not sure whether to laugh or be pissed.
  12. I was offered Trevor Hoffman for Tony Womack straight up right before Womack's disasterous season for the Yankees. I laughed and laughed and laughed and clicked "Accept".
  13. Reed and Frankie Cats platooned in Toronto, let's have them platoon here.
  14. If that's the case and he's actually 17, that's pretty darn cool. I'd have to agree.
  15. Are teams still banking he can come close to the season he had two years ago?
  16. I have a feeling he'll be headed to Cincy.
  17. You're job once school is over is to find a taker. I don't want to wait that long -- get on it now He's not a football player at Penn State so he actually HAS to go to classes. No magic tudor for this guy. You'll have to stand in for him while he's gone. Wait, they do that for the players too. Well, classes are over. It's finals week. I'll try and find time to do some research when I'm not studying.
  18. Someone call Satan and tell him to give Bako his soul back.
