  1. Did I not get asked because I go to Penn State?
  2. Low risk move. If he sucks, it doesn't cost much. If he somehow regains form it's a nice steal.
  3. I'm pumped.
  4. Wait, Flaherty is at 3B? I thought he'd shift to 2B. Did I miss something?
  5. Because we got burned on the Peavy deal and traded DeRosa to free up money before that was set in stone. I have no hope that this is true, but what if we were interested in Hudson to play SS and move Theriot to platoon with Fontenot? That would make me very happy. And I don't dislike Theriot that much. How's Hudson's defense at SS? He's never played there. However, his range at 2B is phenomenal, and his arm can't be worse than Theriot's. It'd be a big risk for Lou to take - and I don't think he will - but I think that'd be a solid upgrade. That'd leave us with literally no power on the bench, however. We already have no power on the bench.
  6. I'd like O-Dog, but it depends what his asking price is. I know it has come down, but I don't want to invest a lot of money there.
  7. He was the first overall pick in the 2004 draft. He was a shortstop, and he lost all ability to make contact once he got to the minors. Rather than give up on him completely, the Pads tried to convert him into a pitcher, but he needed TJS and missed all of last season. And this isn't the first time he's gotten into trouble with the law.
  8. What does he project as?
  9. The Pads really struck gold when they drafted him, huh?
  10. It's been stated on this board many times over the years, but I'll say it again: MVP 05>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>every other baseball game Baseball Mogul is solid, and I have a place in my heart for Ken Griffey Jr Baseball for N64, but that's about it.
  11. Eric Hinske....oh wait. Ty Wigginton....nevermind Honestly, we need power off the bench. If we could add Nomar, I'd be happy.
  12. I think I may buy a Matt Wieters jersey.
  13. ok then, take your pick- Hendry: -has really mismanaged his prospects and how to get the best value for them over the last few yrs -has put together an absolutely piss-poor farm system, which with the resources he's had at hand, is downright indefensible at least one of the two statements is correct 3) Had a lot of really good prospects and got unlucky that few panned out. Not my opinion of the situation, but a defensible possibility. Yeah, we've had a number of good prospects that never reached their potential: Pie C-Patt Choi Bobby Hill Prior Montanez Cedeno and the list goes on and on...
  14. He had 18 walks in 19 innings and didn't do any better an in the minors. The ERA is a result of luck.
