  1. It would be hilarious if he loses.
  2. There's a guy in one of my leagues whose team name is "NY Mets." Obviously a Mets fan. He offered me Oswalt for Johan Santana straight up right after Oswalt got tagged in the WBC. I said no. A week or so later, he sends me the same proposal. It's obvious he wants Santana badly, so I send a counter-offer. He rejects that and today sends me the same frickin offer of Oswalt for Santana again. He's kinda annoying me.
  3. That was pretty dumb. I guess they don't feel like trying anymore.
  4. That'll be a lot of phone calls and possible quote-less gamers.
  5. His home/road splits are atrocious. Last year he had a .647 OPS on the road and .901 at Coors.
  6. He hasn't been useful in years. I'm not sure he's even worth AAA filler at this point.
  7. WHY IS EVERYONE YELLING?! And I like this move a lot.
  8. I'm not remembering how we acquired Bellhorn, but I don't think it was for 3 prospects, at least 2 of which have had some success in the majors for Florida (Mitre may be nothing, but he was roughly league average for a year in '07). For whatever success JP has had in the majors, he had 700 pretty brutal ABs for us. Yeah, the prospect we gave up for Bellhorn never made it to the majors. And Bellhorn wasn't a slap hitter with a low OBP like Pierre.
  9. Three former top prospects gone in about a week. That just makes me sad. It also makes me wonder what could have been if they had worked out. Or if we had drafted Markakis in 03 instead of Harvey.
  10. Now that's what I like to see (with the exception of hair-pulling).
  11. Geez, I got PM'd by three people. I guess that's a signal to keep this moving along. The Vikings have a few more needs, arguably the biggest being OT. With its third round pick, Minnesota selects: Fenuki Tupou, OT, Oregon He's kinda raw, but he's big and has potential.
  12. He was bad in the majors last year but would he be worth a minor league deal in case Cotts sucks?
  13. Steel cage match, Soto vs. Wieters. The world ends because this much awesomeness can't be in one place at the same time.
  14. Cubs are 7th: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/organizational-rankings-7
  15. Decent low-risk, high reward move. Not that it will make them good or anything, but he picked a good team to sign with.
