  1. That's a shame
  2. We can only hope.
  3. I gave up: Jeremy Hermida Joe Saunders Brad Ziegler I got: Joe Nathan Ricky Nolasco I think I did fairly well.
  4. That's an ugly lineup we're trotting out there today. I really wish our bench was better.
  5. I'm gonna stand pat.
  6. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4064793 RIP. Baseball loses one of its best announcers.
  7. Koyie's a serviceable backup. Unless he starts dropping pitches or hitting .031, he's fine.
  8. I wasn't able to watch, but Heilman didn't seem bad. Right now he and Marmol are the only ones I trust. Yeah, it's early, but the other guys need to step up.
  9. That's because the regular ESPN website is the Boston/New York sports website.
  10. It's a shame they got it autographed. Getting an in person autograph on a sports card ruins its integrity and value. If they hadn't got it autographed it'd be worth what you would expect it to be worth. Since it is autographed it's worth no more than an autograph on a piece of paper or a different regular basketball card. It only holds value to the person who holds it. If you were to ever try and sell it or auction it off you wouldn't get nearly the same amount as a RC with no autograph on it. Granted that's general rule of thumb in sports cards 101, but perhaps it's a little different with an MJ rookie card. The randomness of this thread is fantastic That's why you always take a picture of the auto taking place or have it authenticated. I still ruins the cards original value though. But with an MJ RC it might actually increase, who knows. All I know is you don't dare compromise the integrity of a card that has such holy grail properties like that one You are right about this, as far as I know.
  11. Wow this sucks. I was shocked to see the headlines. He had such a promising future ahead of him. RIP
  12. Anyone have a link or anything to watch this online?
  13. The Royals are close to contending. They have young talent, though they've had young talent for a couple years already. I can't imagine them taking the wild card, though.
  14. It would be hilarious if he loses.
  15. There's a guy in one of my leagues whose team name is "NY Mets." Obviously a Mets fan. He offered me Oswalt for Johan Santana straight up right after Oswalt got tagged in the WBC. I said no. A week or so later, he sends me the same proposal. It's obvious he wants Santana badly, so I send a counter-offer. He rejects that and today sends me the same frickin offer of Oswalt for Santana again. He's kinda annoying me.
  16. That was pretty dumb. I guess they don't feel like trying anymore.
  17. That'll be a lot of phone calls and possible quote-less gamers.
  18. His home/road splits are atrocious. Last year he had a .647 OPS on the road and .901 at Coors.
  19. He hasn't been useful in years. I'm not sure he's even worth AAA filler at this point.
