    I knew Vince Young was bad, but I just didn't realize he was that bad. I'll never understand why they put him on the Madden cover.

    I really don't think Peyton cares that much about the record. If he cared he would've played into the 4th quarter in those blowout games or played more in the last game of the season that year.

    Personally, I think he still has to prove that he IS a #2. What more does he have to do? He was probably the best pitcher on the Cubs last year. For starters, he has to win more than 11 games. Granted he had poor run support last season, but a #2 starter needs to do better than 11 wins regardless of run support. I like Rich Hill, but I agree that he still has more to prove to be a solid #2 starter. A pitcher's win total does not, in anyway, show how good a pitcher is.

    Are you guys serious? I would love to have a player like this on the Cubs. He goes out and plays his guts out everyday. The Cubs could use someone like him. We don't have any guys like him except Theriot. Theriot just isn't enough. Erstad could really give this team the spark they need to win it all.

    They are talking about middle infield on Sports Central. Kaplan is saying that the Cubs have already told Theriot that he is their guy at SS on opening day. I don't think DeRosa is going to play SS. How have the Cubs not realized Theriot sucks?

    I'm not sure if it's still up, but on their Hot Stove League on ESPN.com they had the CUbs projected lineup with Blanco as Catcher. I guess they haven't heard of GEOVANY SOTO.

    Murton really has value. I wish he would play here, but I get why they are dealing him. He'll likely be part of the package that lands Hendry Brian Roberts. I'd prefer him and Gallagher go toward landing us Blanton, and Pie and Hill and EPatt land us Roberts and Bedard, and Dempster and Marshall and Derosa land us Burnett.
