Well, he's right, if we didn't have Jones in either RF or CF, there would be no one there to catch the flyballs. I mean, Soriano's fast, but he's not that fast.
You guys can't be serious! He's one of our best players! Where do you get all these stupid ideas? Aramis is a great player. I can't believe you people think otherwise. How do you expect people to take you seriously when you make these types of comments? I mean, come on, not everyone has to hustle just to be good. You guys should all just shut up. Please, go away now. I can't stand to look at your stupid comments.
The first 2 sentences don't seem to go together. If he's their only good pitcher how exactly do you think they will contend? On the question at hand, though. I wouldn't want to take the risk on him. Unless the Cubs are looking to fill Prior's DL spot there's really no reason. If Harden stays healthy and pitches well beane will want to move him while he has a high value. If not he will take the team option and hope for a good season next year. Unless we are the cusp of being true WS contenders Hendry won't go for him. In general I think the Cubs will avoid any pitcher with major injury issues for the next 10 years or so. Besides if we can't get Roberts I doubt we can get Harden. Why does that matter? The fact that Angelos wouldn't give up Roberts has no effect on our chance of getting Harden. I don't think we will get him, but there's no way you can compare the two.
Is your goal at NSBB to hurt me? First you beat me to 1000, then you question my knowledge of gritty players, and now this?!?! When did I question your knowledge of gritty players? Your knowledge of gritty players is unrivaled. In the thread about Corey Patterson starting you said a gritty player can be half white too. I guess you didn't question it, but just the fact that you had to add something angered me.
Yeah, that .913 OPS last season really needs to go. You say things like that and expect to be taken seriously? It's one game in. The problems we saw today were the same types of problems we had last season. Nothing is "going downhill". We're pretty much the same team as last season, so if you're going to complain just complain about this team not being great. lol
omg, games are worth just as much now as they are in late August...what if we lose the division by one game? Huh, smart guy? Don't tell us to not freak out! Besides, I have been attacking Derrek Lee. The dude doesn't deserve to step on the field. All he's doing is counting his money. The last thing he cares about is baseball. This team is going downhill fast.
