  1. You put a good team together. It's not your fault most of them decided to suck or get hurt.
  2. You do know they have Dusty Baker, right? And they could also keep Adam Dunn, because he's awesome.
  3. Creepy. It's like the love we have for other good players on the Cubs. I don't find that creepy.
  4. He's just mad because people keep spelling his name wrong.
  5. This is why Pie struggling like mad is more frustrating. I know Geo turned out well, but when will our "can't miss" position prospects pan out. Bruce was the number 1 prospect in baseball. Pie was somewhere in the 40's And one game doesn't prove anything.
  6. me too, but maybe because i also live among the heathens. they still worship him. Yeah, I'm in hell too. Really ready for the pixie dust to wear off this year. just be patient
  7. Edmonds >>>>> Neifi > Trachsel > Blauser > Macias > Hundley The only downside to signing Edmonds is Pie not starting. If Edmonds signed with somebody else for nothing and started hitting like he did 2 years ago, people would be complaining that Hendry didn't sign him. No they wouldn't. Edmonds is a player that most Cub fans never ever wanted. That's never stopped many of the posters here from 2nd guessing/complaining about Hendry. Please reference Josh Hamilton. I fail to see how the situations are similar. Low Risk, High yet unlikely potential, costs the organization virtually nothing. OMG, I totally forgot, EDMONDS WAS A CARDINAL, EDMONDS WORE EYELINER, EDMONDS LIKES GUYZ LOLZ! My point was that people would find something to complain about no matter what. People complained when we picked up a coke head in the Rule 5. People complained when we traded him for jack to Cinci and he produced. Edmonds was a good bet to be a bust, but Johnson getting the starts againt righties anyway it was a low impact attempt to catch lightning in a bottle. No lightning, DFA, who cares? High potential? Are we still talking about Edmonds?

  9. I love you so much, Sean.
  10. 1. A Soriano, LF 2. M Fontenot, 2B 3. D Lee, 1B 4. A Ramirez, 3B 5. K Fukudome, RF 6. J Edmonds, CF 7. G Soto, C 8. R Cedeno, SS 9. S Gallagher, P wtg, Lou. I love this lineup. It doesn't even follow the idiotic plan of splitting up the lefties and righties. Edmonds batting ahead of Soto is ridiculous.
  11. Clever. I love Chad Billingsley, but I think I'll love him a little less after the game.
  12. I'd make him find his own transportation back to Chicago if the Cubs lose this game. I'm not kidding. I'd make him invent a time machine so that Hendry could be forced to put more thought into the decision to sign him. "Drrr....best player on the market must get monster deal" isn't cutting it. I really have to wonder about you if you could make a time machine, and this is what you choose to do with it. Well, do this, then kill Hitler. You're both way off. Go back to when the Cubs were about to become a team. Convince the people that it is not a wise decision. Then none of us will have to go through this.
  13. He probably realized the Cubs are stupid and aren't going to give him a decent shot, so he just gave up. I was sort of hoping for some actual discussion. Not this. Come on, does that post add anything to the discussion?
  14. Are you serious? That's a new level of stupid for Lou. :banghead:
  15. I'm sure they aren't planning to, but it will happen.
  16. He probably realized the Cubs are stupid and aren't going to give him a decent shot, so he just gave up.
  17. What kind of crazy money will he want?
  18. Our best pinch hitter is still on the bench. His last name starts with a Z ...
