  1. A) The Kendrick thing was the closest borderline funny/mean thing I've ever seen. Hysterical. B) If the players took bats to the car....and Wood is suspectively involved.... And Wood's back starting getting stiff on Tuesday, the same day the car demolishing happened. And his back got worse on Wednesday.... It's elementary, my dear Watson.
  2. There's only one thing I can think of when seeing this thread anymore: (In Kip's voice): Well, things are getting pretty serious right now. I mean, we chat online for, like, two hours every day so I guess you could say things are gettin' pretty serious.
  3. Definately the work of a flamer...
  4. Anyone know who is after dempster and gallagher in the pen? Also, got a chuckle from this on hankwhitefanclub.com: Hank white: Geo’s a nice kid. He works hard. He wants to learn. So far I’ve impressed upon him the importance of hard work. I’ve got him washing my car (a 1993 Honda Civic), doing my laundry (lots of Los Lonely Boys t-shirts) and actually, he’s learning to make a mean Cuban sandwich. I don’t even want to talk about what happened a couple of years ago when I let Michael Barrett wash my old car (a 1984 Toyota Tercel hatchback.) It’s too tough to relive that. http://hankwhitefanclub.wordpress.com/
  5. Oh. Translations as in stats. I was sorta expecting "Kee-now jin ba ling" meaning "He sits on the curve and throws it into right." Or, since they are very good translations, "poo pai ni Don Zimmer sow" meaning "check out the blonde in the third row behind Don Zimmer's head"
  6. Advice on how to Dress for Success. And by Dress for Success, we mean the codeword for a beautiful Czechoslovakian blond who really really needs $3,000...a pop... literally. On ESPN, Steve Phillips and Peter Gammons went on for about ten minutes on how clubhouse guys run errands all year long for the players and that sometimes they would just give them a big tip like that at the end of a year. This would include costs for transportation, dry cleaning, side work that might need to be done, food/meals, etc. And since players make such large salaries, alot of guys would tip well. I know I would tip well if I had someone running personal errands to make sure everything is done right. And no, I'm not that naive, just trying to remain optimistic.
  7. Link Competitiveness of the ballclub? Goodbye White Sox.
  8. His agent isn't expecting to hear from him until some time after a half hour from now (10 PM). I'd be shocked if that actually translated to a news story screaming over the wire right at 10 PM or even within spitting distance of the hour. It'll be in the Japanese media right away - most likely, as he said he would notify Japanese teams first of his decision. Thanks to the intraweb we have access to the Japanese media and such. For once, my watching of Japanese media 24/7 is finally going to pay off.
  9. I would hope that no one would fall for that after last night's overdose. Well, there are plenty of posters who did not witness/ experience that. And they should be counting their blessings.
  10. Might I suggest switching to Firefox, that has a spell check built in? That's why he is where he is, folks.
  11. I wonder if any are reading this thread and getting angry about how unrealistic our trade proposals are? Of course they are! I guess that's the 67 guests lingering in this forum then. :P Join up guys. Most of us aren't a-holes and would love your take! :D I don't know. That's quite a stretch. I've seen many a person get torn a new one, including myself when I broke the Z resigning the night before.
  12. Saw that too. The editor of the page said he got it from a "credible" source.
  13. What's pitch count for Webb? i know it was 58 before the inning..
  14. 1 run game man on second no out, pitcher up, gotta bunt
